Jessicaherron9 - what part of my post don't you understand?

MY number 1 task here is to STOP SPAMMERS. When you and several other people attempt to promote a certain/specific website you are seen/suspected as being SPAMMERS.

I get what you are saying steve but surely people who have proven themselves not spammers by contributing to this forum should have that liberty if its provided by default?

Ragnar - being a long term member "should" mean that the person is less likely to spam and or should know better.

The number one trick to some allege long term people is to make an a decent post. Then they come back a few days later and edit it and add a URL.

Haha yes I guess so. I've been a member since 2017 it says. 7 years is a lot of effort for a link from a single domain

To be honest with you I actually think I did that what you described although in my mind the though process was "cool I've contributed quite a bit here, at a very steady pace, I'm pretty sure they wont mind me adding a signature".

So maybe spammers do the same right? Thing is are they then actually spammers? In my mind spammers are members who ideally look for backlinks right from the start, give bad answers (copied or AI) to get post counts up. Ask questions that have been asked a million times. Essentially people who don't look to add to a conversation... add value to the forum.

But I don't moderate a forum and I don't own one so I definitely don't know as much as you do about how this all works.

Of course you as a moderator or owner of the forum are guided by the rules set forth in the forum and if those are the rules then so be it.
