I need a website for my company. I have never encountered this before. Should I pre-purchase a domain name and hosting? Or what else should I do? Is it best to buy domain name and hosting from the same company or from different companies? What can you say about the choice of domain zones?
There is absolutely no need to register a domain and hosting with the same company. And I would advise to immediately pay attention to the price of domain renewal. Because there are times when this price is 10 times higher than the price of the initial registration of the domain name. I have been using Pananames registrar for the last 6 years. I love that renewals are priced fairly here. When you register a domain name, you can see it all at once.

Totally agree with @Rafay to be honest. The domain and hosting are simply the mechanics of creating and owning a website but they still have questions that need answering around locations, brand recognition, what extensions should you use. Shared Hosting, dedicated servers or a more trend orientated cloud solution.
You probably will not find your answers here but you should definitely research as much as you can or employ an agency or consultant with experience in your industry and/or country. Perhaps there is someone in your business circle that could advise or help you navigate through the initial stages.

Here are the steps to follow:
1. Create your website (you can do it yourself using a website builder https://www.webbuildersguide.com or hire a professional).
2. Save your website (commonly, in a folder that contains your styles (.css), scripts (.js) and pages (.html). Almost every website has images and other media too. You MUST have a file called "index.html" that is your homepage, it will make the next steps much easier).
3. Find a web hosting service (this company will keep your files on a computer that stays running 24/7).
4. Buy a domain (URL) (though some domains are free, if you want a domain ending with ".com" ".org" or ".net" you will need to pay something per year).
5. Upload your website (once you have purchased web hosting and domain, you will need to upload your website to your web host).
