Have you guys heard about new update from Instagram and Facebook about Shop creations? What are your thoughts on it!!
No, never heard of it. Can you provide us a link?
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said small businesses will be able to set up shops to sell directly through Facebook and Instagram. The idea behind Facebook Shops is to bring millions of small businesses online who have had to close their stores due to the coronavirus pandemic.
With Facebook Shops, you can display and sell items on Facebook and Instagram. ... You can customize your shop by adding featured collections. If you use a website to sell your items, you can send people to your website from your Facebook or Instagram shop to complete their purchase.
Marketing issues will always dominate over technical ones. Meaning that it is not difficult to create a shop on Instagram. But if you are some unknown Joe, just try to promote it. I use this website to buy Instagram likes just because I don't want to lose any more time on waiting to be noticed. You can do the same.
Facebook Shops make it easy for businesses to set up a single online store for customers to access on both Facebook and Instagram. Creating a Facebook Shop is free and simple. Businesses can choose the products they want to feature from their catalog and then customize the look and feel of their shop with a cover image and accent colors that showcase their brand. This means any seller, no matter their size or budget, can bring their business online and connect with customers wherever and whenever it’s convenient for them.
It's true, when you post something about selling something automatically facebook or instagram tells you if you want to create a store or a sale post.
I think this can be a good thing to promote your products but on the other hand, it could be that sales being more "controlled" and being a source of income, it generates some kind of interest per sale.

Thank you for explaining it clearly.
This is live now. It didn't really have a super big impact, but Instagram is a really good option for a small business starting out, nevertheless.
I also read an article (linking it here if you're curious) that talks about Instagram captions to be specific–it holds more of an SEO weight, but it goes hand in hand with locking your target market in place.
Pairing a superb caption with attention-grabbing graphics is a sure way to get people to read thru your content. The goal is always short, relatable, and relevant. A lot of copywriting is involved too.
Small businesses that don't have an Instagram account are missing out–unfortunately, IG is one of the hardest platforms to grow on. I say this from experience lmao.
