what do you tweet ?
I think it is a good question ... Tweeter is a puissant social media but it is not the same than Facebook.
I have created an account on Twitter since I became to work but I have no really followers and I am not really folowing !
I would like to use it better but I am not confident at this moment with it.
But what about you, how do you use it ? for personnal or for business use ?
thanks in advance for your answers
Regards
Pauline

I try to keep my tweets relevant to the industry I am in. I tend to follow similar organizations and municipal entities (with the notable exception of John Cleese because I think he is one of the funniest men alive). The twitter "handle" is Tapconet if you want to look at it. We are now up to 46 followers and are following 27. I use to follow more, but eliminated people who only use it for advertising. Treat it like a mini (really mini) blog. In fact, when relevant, put links back to your website.
Find like minded people, start following them and they may start following you. Otherwise you need to just keep plugging away until people stumble across you. But keep tweeting - I've checked some twitterers (is that really a word ) and decided not to follow them because they do not tweet on a regular basis - letting months go by with nothing.

I do keep separate twitter accounts for my various businesses. I tweet what is relevant for that specific business of industry. I also keep a personal Twitter account, and I use that to tweet anything worth tweeting about my day.
-
On my business account I usually tweet for the latest topic with regards to SEO and the issues that we are facing today such as economic crisis and the government.

You can use twitter for dual propose, Twitter is suitable place from where you can have business benefits and can make friends for your personal relations
-
I use twitter for personal and business both.
-
I tweet all hi how are you.
-
My business Tweets usually stick to product promotions or industry topics. I also try to re-tweet interesting, related news and comment on other tweets to build some rapport.

I thnk it's too easy to use Twitter / FaceBook / LinkedIn as a way to spam company information.
People will find this boring and uninteresting in the long term.
Social Networking is all about engagement!
Mix your posts up a bit.
Post some industry related news, gossip, tutorials, and company info.
By changing the type of content will attract new followers while retaining the current ones. ;)

Hi,
First, I'd like to tell you I am a new member here.
Now come to the question, whatever I like related to my industry, I twit on my page. And whenever a tip comes to my mind I always share it on my page.
-
Do not just tweet whatever comes to your mind. If you offer quality information and good deals, you will get more retweets. I found very useful to follow people who might be interested in the service I offer. They usually start following me as well.
-
I usually tweet some interesting facts i find on the net that is relevant to our business. It is important we keep it as short as possible, so that s the challenge.
-
If you want to tweet something, make sure it is relevant to you or your work. Post some how-to's or updates on your items or yourself (if youre using it as a personal account).

Lately I've been using one Twitter account for all my varied online businesses. You need to be a 'real person' , and transparent......if you want any real engagement that is.
How boring is it for one business to blast out their marketing message to a bunch of other business Twitter accounts, only to fall upon deaf ears.
Chances are , you have more interests than just your business in life - mix it up.
Trying to maintain multiple Twitter accounts in a meaningful way, plus a handful of other social networks is daunting....when does the real creative work get done while managing all of that?
Sure you can use a scheduling/posting tool to feed these accounts, but that defeats the purpose of social interaction.

I think you need to keep the tweets to both relevant and about your Unoccupied Property Insurance or personal so that people can see it's not a robot that is automatically updating with business things.
