Anyone heard of HSPPS?????

I was recently invited to a group called "Tesbowner"- an American Small business owners network- it seems to be a group of ecommerce owners who share advice through email threads.
They've talked a lot about something called HSPPS or Highly Specialized PinPointing Services- Mostly about one called "Vawngo"
Many of the folks claim that they've seen huge amounts of traffice from this type of marketing "much more than Yahoo or google's PPC" Some of the numbers they've given seem almost too good to be true.
They've said that Vawngo isn't accepting any new accounts anyway so, it's not like I can sign up, but this may just be a tatic to create demand.
I wanted to know if anyone else has ever heard of HSPPS or Vawngo or Tesbowner for that matter. The threads indicate that it's been around for a few years or so. I'd like to know if anyone is using or has heard of any of this????

I've never heard of it and can absolutely no references to it online. I would be very suspicious, particularly as your were "recruited" to this group.

They say that Vawngo isn't accepting new members- I think this is probably to build trust and also create demand. So the second they open it up, people will jump in without thinking.

If they had that much demand and were in fact as good as they are being "hyped", then you would find some sort of reference of them. But I can find nothing.

Now vawngo un-included we only get about 350 unique visitors a day. In total we get nearly 5k in UV. I mean when you think about it without vawngo we don't have much of a business. We get purchases from about every 5 to 25% of our vawngo visitors depending on the season or day. Like right now is a slow season so it's also great in the sense of also picking up the slack that we would normally have. For example and as I'm sure many of you also experienced we made a serious killing on the July 4th (Independence day) holiday. On Thursday we actually had a 24% purchase/visitor rate - I quickly got back to being a kid with over joy. With PPC we used to only get 1 to 3% of our visitors as actual buyers. But -yeah that's the only thing I hated when we first started off, the huge swing - reminds me of an exponential parabolic (sp??) equation or a car accelerating from 1 to 60 in 10 seconds as my husband says.

One thing I adore though is the competitor privacy. Lol my competitiors are still wondering how I ended up so far ahead so quickly. I like to sit back and sense the gossip between them.

I'm going to stay on their list- to see how this thing plays out... and maybe warn some of the "real" businesses on the list.

I'm not a member of that group but I've heard of both before. That first term seems be growing among networking groups and seems to be building. I seriously doubt it's a scam fwiw...

I think he/she was referring to the words you described at the top of your post. I've heard of them too but they aren't catchy in the public.

My sister is a member of that group and has been so for (I believe) two years. She's never had a problem with them. :rolleyes:

Does you sister use HSPPS-? I believe Tesbowner is very complex and has offered some useful advice---I'm mostly cautious about HSPPS because for something so successful- it can't be found anywhere on the web. They say they got taken off Bing, Yahoo, Google- and even if you could ask and make that happen, it wouldn't remove all references to a company that's been around a few years....

HSPPS is super new I've only heard of one or two people using it. Although I'm sure it's probably popular among more close knit groups. I wouldn't be surprised at all, although that person whoever posted that sounds skiddish. Maybe some things work better for others? Eh no idea..

From what I've read some people claim to have been using Vawngo for years-
I'm really just looking for an reference independant of Tesbowner that mentiones it.
Also I want to know where the traffic comes in from- I get that they don't want to share their secrets, but Refering URL's would help- anyone using it could tell that.
How would I -As a consumer- be directed to a site via HSPPS?
Questions I've asked and gotten no answer for.

Any our you SEO experts out there think its possible to completely erase a 2-3 year old very successful company from the web?

Technically no...not unless however they are completely re-branding themselves. Which is what it seems...I don't even think that person knows how to describe things properly.

Hi everyone. I've literally just joined this forum because of this thread.



I would almost say it is definitely a scam. I too was approached by a potential customer who also happened to know if I wanted to join Tesbowner. I joined.. got a few personal emails wherein people stated they ran certain sites. I asked for the URLs, etc. Thought nothing of it.



Everytime I sent an email to the listserver, I never saw it come up.. and no one would reply to it or mention receiving it or anything.



Finally, the Vawngo talk started. I asked about it.. no response. Obviously curious, I googled it day after day until I found this thread suddenly today. I did a bit of research. There are three people who contacted me personally though Tesbowner - and gave me "their" websites.



On further research, none of these websites state the respective people as the owners.. in fact, some of the websites, have a list of names that do not correspond at all with what I have been told. Today I contacted a website that was "owned" by one of the people who contacted me. They had never heard of the person that was purporting to be their owner. So, yes, they're all lying..



One last thing.. anyone who jumps onto these forums and defends them.. look at when they joined. TODAY. My guess is they're in on the scam.

Finally.. vawngo.com was just registered recently.

^ Although I haven't made my mind up on this topic I find it intriguing how you can be so quick to point fingers. It sounds like you've only known them for a few weeks and you are already quick to judge and make conclusions.

Why couldn't anyone else say that you yourself could be impersonating other organizations who might want to capture their membership? Perhaps you could be an advertising agency who doesn't want similiar competition? Or maybe a good old fashion troll? After all you too joined today as well and none of us can truly know your intentions.

Getting back to the comment about removing yourself from search engines.
1. Search engines- are objective- they will not for any reason help you with marketing (besides PPC). It destorys their objectivity.
2. The only way to Completely rebrand your self- is to change your company's name, website, contact info- Everything. Why would you do that if you're already successful. Also no one has mentioned "Vawngo" Changing names. (because we'd google the "Old" name- and still find nothing!
3. Think about Google and their service "froogle" now Google-Base, if they wanted to remove references to "froogle" they could- but they haven't. Why would they do it for someone else?

Okay, you are right. Why should anyone believe me? But why am I so quick to point fingers? Because I have been contacted by three people through Tesbwoner, who have all said they own a business which, on further research, they do not. Are you kidding me? They are all lying! I'm not out to "capture" membership for anything.. I run a very small business which is just getting off the ground.. I don't want to advertise my business through this or any other negative means. If I was trying to capture membership for my own advertising agency, I wouldn't go about it this way.

Ivonda - you joined yesterday. Are you going to tell me you are not one of these Tesbowner scammers.

Finally - nstarleather - I haven't seen your signature or a message either. Funnily enough, I sent a "hi everyone, thanks for accepting me" message when I first joined and I asked a couple of questions. Not only did I not get any replies, but when I asked a couple of people individually if they had seen my email, not ONE of them could quote anything from it or had seen it. My guess is they go into a black hole.

I was wondering if we should post some of the site in the signatures- so the "real" owners can start stepping up (maybe commenting here) and debunking this whole thing. Do you think they'd mind? It would provide more public evidence, plus they'd be able to clear their rep.


Also I'm pretty sure that: Lacey, Katlyn, Doc, and all the rest are the same person or the same few people.
I've been really happy that people have contacted me thanking me for this thread... it warms my heart. If few have contacted me, that means lots more have been saved.

But now we are about to degenerate into a flame war - so the thread is officially closed. It should still show up in the archives if anyone does a search, so all your work will not go to waste.

As for Nimroid, BeBop, Ivonda.....since you are "all" coming from the same IP, I have no choice but to presume that you are one and the same person.
