ecommerce site feedback please

just launched my ecommerce store about a week or so ago at http://www.weaim2pleezknives.com and would appreciate any constructive feedback..pretty simple layout of site...thank you

You have the beginnings of a very nice site. Your More Info section has a lot of information and that is a good thing. I am looking for a security and credit card policy and I don't see one. What guarantee have I that my order is secure and what credit cards do you accept?

I'd like to see a contact form. An email address doesn't require its own page.

You need to develop your logo. If you are going to spend any $$ on your site this is one place you'd want to put your dollars. With all of that white space in your header you're missing a great opportunity. Put your phone number and credit card logos up there.

On an SEO note you can do much better with your title and keywords.

Yes, the first thing that strikes me is the logo. You really need to get a designer to design you a proper logo. In addition, the site really could use some more dressing. Some more color, some bigger and more attractive fonts for your navigation.

at the moment it just looks a little bare bones.

I know I must be sounding like a broken record as I often offer the following suggestion. You really should consider adding your physical address to your contacts page as it adds credibility. If you are being cautious about having unwanted visits from people showing up at your door, you might want to consider getting a PO box.

I also agree with Roban about including a phone number. Again, it's all about credibility.

thanks for the info guys..i'm learning as i go here even though i've been on ebay a long time...as for the logo, are you talking about where it says "weaim2pleez knife shop" at the top? so i need something that takes up more of the space at the top right? ok sounds good, will work on that...
right now i just accept paypal, google, money orders...am working on getting credit card setup hopefully within next month, so yes i will add credit card, paypal, etc logos to home page soon to show accepted forms of payments....also will work on adding address/phone number, probably just add phone # for now until get PO box. i would think phone number would give more credibility anyways to start off with,

hey all, i'm back just to let you know i have worked on updating my site and tried to follow your advice. i have added a ssl certificate with digicert and provided site seal on left column. i also put contact info in my header along with payments (credit cards) accepted. so hopefully it is looking better now. notice the improvement hopefully...thanks again

is a little better, but I would make an effort to balance your three columns in terms of their length. You don't want a huge disparity between the length of the three columns on the page. I'm not saying they have to be the same right down to the pixel, but several inches difference is too much. Makes the page look imbalanced.

Likewise the edge of the logo not matching up with the left edge of your page. These things give a sloppy appearance. A minor point perhaps, but the Web is a visual medium.

ok so you are saying i need to have all 3 of my columns the same width? even the middle column? if i did that though wouldnt it make my middle column with the items, etc look too small in width, seems like it would squeeze all that middle stuff too small

Definite improvement. I know it seems like a trivial little thing but all these little things together will help instill confidence in the buyer.

i would like to make an ecommerce site and i was searching the internet for someone to make it for me or to gave me some good tips and i found one site that sounds ok for me but i would like to receive some opinions from someone that knows more about web services, and as i may see here most of you have done such things and you have the experience for ecommerce. what i would like to know is if some one used this company, or know something about it? is it good? i may find something better? if so ?where?
