<sound of crickets> Hello...................is anyone here today?
yes, here but the forum upgrades process has begun, so I might not be posting much for a bit. :(
it's getting so I expect to see tumbleweeds skittering across the screen today, when I check in.:D
Well, we'll soon be moving to a new version with a lot more features, perhaps that will boost participation.
What am I? A brussel sprout?
A brussel sprout that can design webpages? We'll put you on Leno!!! :D
When are the new upgrades scheduled to come out?
impossible to say with any accuracy. It's basically "as we have time to do it". We publish 30 forums, and usually two days are involved in each upgrade. One day to set up the dev site, style it and make all the other necessary coding changes, and then on another day pull the switch for the live upgrade.
But we have to fit it in amongst a ton of other projects on the schedule.
looking forward to the upgrades.
Me too actually. Lots of new features both from the user perspective, and the administrator perspective. Social networking is now built into the software, and it somehow interfaces with sites such as delicious and digg.com, and I think face book also
Those are features definitely worth having (and hello all)!
Hi Vang!!
*waving*
Gah, I haven't been here as much as I should be. Summer is crazy busy for me. Still, nice to see many others I know are still posting and lots of new users too. Guess I'll go back to spewing my two cents worth in the rate My Site section... which would be... right where I left off. heh.
So glad school starts back up soon :)
How is everyone else making out this summer?

Well, if I don't get a vacation soon I'm going to end up on the roof, dressed in a clown suit, with a sniper rifle:). Actually I'm looking into that right now, a cruise. Not even concerned about the destination, just need to get out of here for a while.
Eliminate the sniper rifle and I know you'll have an audience of at least one. Seeing a clown on a rooftop would be hilariously entertaining.
I'm going to disappear for a bit too. Moving into a new place and having internet connection troubles.

Well, let's not all disappear at the same time! I'll come home to find tumbleweeds blowing across this place:)
:p Don't worry. I'm usually haunting the forum ( at least during the week).
Same here. I'll be sure to visit frequently and help thwart the spammers while you're away.
A cruise sounds wonderful... I can dream....
I ditched that idea, after finding out the final cost and reading some of the reviews. Sounds too regimented for a vacation, at least for me. Also from what I've read most of them are family cruises with kids running around. That wouldn't be fun for me.
Ahh...... Just admit it. You couldn't bear the thought of being away from us for that long. :DQuote:

So take a "Staycation". I take it from your name that you are in New York. There's lots to do there. Hit the museums, art galleries, festivals. My husband and I are heading to the State Fair this weekend - that's as close to a vacation that we can afford  .
I've thought of that, and I may just do that. I've been to all the museums and art galleries here though, but I suppose they're still interesting. Haven't been to the Guggenheim in a while. I could also go to the beach and collect sludge and hypodermic needles;)
Take the Australian staycation: See some kangaroos, koalas, and other Australian marsupials. Then, hit up Outback for a meal.
HAHAHAHA! That's pretty good. I haven't been to the bronx zoo in about 8 yrs or so. But I think the only marsupials we have here are shoplifters.
