business to business shopping cart?

I'm looking for any sugestions on a shopping cart that has the ability to service my retail customers along with my wholesale accounts. I would need the customer to log in and only see thier price point. The group pricing has to have the ability to be able to plug in the prices, not a % off of retail. I am using Zen Cart now and thier group pricing only allows % off retail. Also it needs to be able to intergrate withh Quickbooks. I would be thrilled if I could find one that I could add fields to the log in (ex:tax #,date needed by, rep, ect. )

Have you thought about finding a programmer to modify Zen Cart to have the functionality you need? I know there are several cart solutions out there that have the features you are requesting but depending on your budget and other feature requirements, may not be the perfect fit. If you are satisfied with your current Zen Cart store, but just need a couple features added, I would recommend starting with the Zen Cart forums.

I would recommend that you strongly consider Yahoo Merchant Solutions.

Both Zen Cart and CRE have some good options for you. It just depends on your specific needs. You can do something simple let people create an account and "apply" to be a wholesale member or a Business member on your site. then you just use the coupon code and give them a permanent discount in their account. They enter that number at checkout and it reduces the price by the amount that you set for the coupon code. The coupon can be used over and over.

The CRE B2B might also work for you or just have a developer design the specific settings that you need for your account. Almost anything can be done in the open source carts like Zen and CRE which is why they are great. You can give your specs to your developers and have them change the cart exactly how you want it to be...

Also...if you go to the opensource contribution site you will see the quickbook install. It takes an hour or two to set up. Our (InventorySource.com) development team has installed it for a few CRE Loaded owners and it seems to work great for quickbooks.

Check out www.iamodules.com - they integrate very tightly with QB and have 10 price levels where you can input specific prices or discounts. You can also define coupons for specific customers, items, etc.

For integrating other carts with QB, there are companies that make tools. A couple good ones are:

Take a look at Volusion. We have 3 price levels on our cart - Retail,Distributor and Municipal. Works quite well.

You may want to be careful with Volusion. They draw you in with promises of this great feature and that great feature... then when you actually start using the software you discover things aren't what they seem and aren't like what Volusion told you.

But that's the least of the problems you will encounter. We discovered, too late, that Volusion has a bug that will not allow large purchases on a website. The site will give an error message to the customer, and most customers will just leave.

The reason for this error is due to the way Volusion decided to handle Discounts in v4 and is refusing (for some unexplained reason) to fix the bug in v5. So, if you plan on actually making a lot of money online by selling large volume orders... avoid Volusion at all cost.

If you complain to Volusion about a problem with your cart, they most of the time will fix the problem. However, if it is a problem that only a few are experiencing... good luck getting them to help you at all. Even if it is a major bug in their software, they will refuse to fix it for just a few people experiencing it.

If you complain in public because they won't fix the bug, Volusion will start nickel and diming your account with "Bandwidth Overages", that you were never hit with before, even though you did the same amount of bandwidth.

Basically, Volusion is run by a couple of programmers and assisted by a few IT guys/gals. You will RARELY ever speak to any of these people. What you will be speaking to 99% of the time are High School Graduates who have no idea what their doing.

You will go mad trying to explain a problem to someone who has no idea what the inside of a computer looks like or has never seen a piece of software code in their life, much less have any real world experience with computers. After several days of this, when they finally sense your utter frustration you will get to start all over again with someone who actually does know what's going on.

Then it's 50/50 on whether or not they are going to do anything about your problem. From what we see, if your problem affects a majority of their clients, it will be fixed... otherwise, you'd better learn to live with it or you better start looking for a new solution.

WOW I'm really sorry that you've had such a negative experience with Volusion, but we've been online with them for nearly a year and couldn't be happier.

We use a modified version of Cs-Cart which does everything you are looking for.

It is the most under-rated product on the market currently...

ASPDNSF is what you want.

It come so you can do business to business transactions and also retail transactions on the same cart at the same time.

We have (3) of the most current Version, ML Aspdotnetstorefront, Websites (Licenses) For Sale.

It stipulates in the software contract that we have to sell websites that we created and not the software by its self. So to abide by the contract we are selling websites not licenses. The buyer will be getting a VERY bare bone website with the use of the latest version of Aspdotnetstorefront shopping cart. We only have 3 Websites (Licenses) and do not intend to have any more.

How did we come to own them? We bought 5 licenses total of the software and were planning on using all 5 of the licenses for different websites. Once we started working on the first site we found out that the software was very feature rich and virtually limit less with possibilities. Found out that we could do every thing we wanted to do with one license of the cart. We have kept the other licenses for about 6 months to make sure that we really were not going to use them and we are not. So that leads us to now having 3 licenses that we are not using. Rather than the money going to waste we are selling the Websites (Licenses). We sold 1 so we are down to 3.

This shopping cart can handle an unlimited number of products (500,000 +) The Company already has many sites with very large numbers of products running perfectly. It is also great software if you only have a couple hundred or a couple thousand products.
The ML license would be for the most current version of the software.
Can be downloaded in either C+ or VB versions.
Will come with a maintenance plane to upgrade to the latest software version for free for a year and a half.

I use SmartCart. It supports QuickBooks imports. It has three levels of wholesale pricing, plus the retail level. It does base this on an actual price and not a percentage off. Also, if you need simple fields like the tax # or the date needed to be added, they can do this for you.

I believe CS-Cart will do this for you.

You can do something simple let people create an account as well as "apply" to be a wholesale member or a Business member on your site then you just use the coupon code as well as give them a permanent discount in their account.
