I don't think so But I recommend you to submit manually. I think you know about CAPTCHA(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAPTCHA) When you use some software submitter most of the sites will give u CAPTCHA option and does not work properly.

As long as you manually submit you should face no problem from google, just be sure that the article is fresh and full of content and not some duplicate and spinned one. Do this and you should be fine.
The best way is to do article submission manually in that way you will not penalized ever if you are going to do it through some software then you should be doing it with using spinner text as i do that myself with some sites using UAW.
I don't agree about using article spinner because after they spin the articles it have grammar issues, and it will not be approved or accept by article submission sites..The best way to do article submission is to choose teh top article submission sites and post or submit your unique and quality article/s..Quote:

My Suggestion will be manual article submission. I am totally agree with @ veikoh if you use some article submitter then Captcha will be your main problem.
The article has to be wrote the original article is, copying others, will have the damage

Why should you get penalized if you are writing unique articles, related your website topic? I am doing article submissions for sever ecommerce sites and no one has been hit by panda or penguin!
As other guys have said, the only way making sense is that writing high quality and related articles, and submit them to the article sites mannually. I do not believe these auto submittion softwares, even if tone really can submitt articles, just to the software onwers own networks.

My suggestion is to manually submit your best articles to the directories. Furthermore the articles you submit should be unique and not already on your blog or website as you can potentially get penalized for having duplicate content.
when we submit article then we should submit it on high pr sites and one more thing is that we don't need article submitter because normally we should not submit same article on more than 10 to 15 sites. Because it gives problem of article circulation. Though in SEO there are various opinions and way to work.

i think page rank will not hurt, but while using software submitting on hundreds of sites its better to do manually, of course it is time consuming, but you will get quality backlink's submission will be done on the good PR sites and above all it will be risk free.
