Much worse than a simple directory indexing article indexes good, and two articles on their own, often worse, the sites anyway. When you put the article on the web, it's really very little control over what happens to it or where it might pop.
What about ezine? Don't you think that it is a credible directory for article submissions than loads of others?
If you mean ezinearticles.com, they are the very best I know of ... and I've submitted articles to more than 20 of the most reputable directories.Quote:

I ever submitt the articles manually myself. Allocate couple of hourse all week or month depending on how much contents you have to article submission, this path you dont risk existing penalized.
Try submit your article manually, it is even better
Almost of the article sites where expending Captcha image control so expending reflex submitter, those will be allowed for out.
You don't necessitate to be a techie to start your own online business but you do need to know a few things. Please let me know if oyu need any help.
I would say presenting the articles manually is the better option as it devotes you more options to select a niche to present the articles. and submitting to character directories is ever beneficial rather than doing it to all the poor directories.

First of all the reason for article submission is to gain higher ranking in any Search Engines when user enter particular keyword.
While submitting articles, each article content must me unique and quality.. Also, remember to submit articles to wordpress sites..

I thought the original purpose of article submission was to get people to read the article (and hopefully post it on their own site) and to get people to visit your site ... that is hopefully linked from the article.
The SEO benefits are, I thought, only secondary.
