I think money can solve you problems.
Investment is required. As long as you can recover the cost of early investment, it is worth.
First, you can use money to advertise, TV ad, Google adword or others PPC,PCA. (Effect is obvious)
Second, you can hire a SEO team to promote your site.

Perhaps it was too obvious to mention before, but sometimes Digg, del.icio.us, etc work wonders for "sharing" sites.
