Search Engine Marketing

Search Engine Marketing is a means of promotion of websites for the purpose of increasing their visibility in search engine results pages. SEM can involve paid search or search engine optimization and search advertising.

Search engine marketing (SEM) is a form of Internet marketing that involves the promotion of websites by increasing their visibility in search engine results pages (SERPs) through optimization (both on-page and off-page) as well as through advertising (paid placements, contextual advertising, and paid inclusions) Depending on the context, SEM can be an umbrella term for various means of marketing a website including search engine optimization (SEO), which adjusts or rewrites website content to achieve a higher ranking in search engine results pages, or it may contrast with PPC, focusing on only paid components.

I would just like to share some of my experience in SEO.

I don't have any experience within the role of SEO, and didn't want to spend the time or money in paying to learn it.. But in the other hand, I didn't want to pay someone to do it! :P

So I joined a FREE course that taught me a few tricks! Basically, if you are running a blog/website off the wordpress platform, you can use a plugin called Wordpress SEO.

This includes features that will help you with SEO. It will tell you how likely search engines are going to find you, and how to get higher in the ranks.

You may also be able to find another piece of software like this for different platforms?

In my opinion, I don't think that SEO is the best way to market, but you should have it as a basis to start building your business.

I agree with you Vilson. The search engines lay importance to the facebook likes and shares. The more back links you have for your site the better would be your PageRank.

SEM stands for “search engine marketing.” It is the process of gaining traffic from or visibility on search engines. The phrase is also sometimes shortened to “search marketing.”

Make a Plan, make a Strategy , Outline your business, Target your niche and lastly use all the SEO factors.
