Title tags - does their length affect traffic?

So here are a few tips for taking better advantage of the web page title tags...

1. Exact Phrase
Use the exact phrase that you are optimizing for in the web-page title.

2. Beginning Of Tag
Position the strongest keyword or keyword phrase at the very beginning of the title tag. Search engines place the most emphasis on the first few words found in the title, so the order of the words does make a difference.

3. 65 Character Max
Keep website titles concise. Search engines will often truncate the title in their listings. Try not to allow the title to exceed 65 characters if possible.

4. Repeat Variation
Repeat a variation of the keyword or keyword phrase in the web page title and in the webpage meta description.

I believe that long titles never help. Small and attractive are better.
Imagine that a visitor will see your site, he/she will try to read something which will make him/her not to leave the site but stay and read. Try to make your titles shorted and you will get more readers ;)

Some times it may reduce the traffic. If your site is ranking in top for some keyword and your title tag is long. If title tag is more than 64 char then google might not show the words more than 64char max is 69char.
If the keyword lands after 64char in the title search engines will not display your full title and if a visitor search in google he first checks the titles and if he finds the keyword in the title itself he will go for that particular site.
In this way your site might lose some traffic.

Blogspots by their very nature have a variety of content, that is not easy to scope into a particular set of keywords or metatag entries. SEO may not work for you.

No, length would not hurt your traffic. its better to have short & meaning full title.

Always use the length for title tag 65 characters (including spaces) or less.

Their is one factor called keyword prominence which can effects but don't think length can effect...

The title tags is the mainly significant issue as far On page optimization is measured. Search engine spiders make out title in the extremely beginning. So, a good site must have it is main keywords in titles only.

Not, the title tag is for good ranking not for good traffic. Is it?

A title with the main keywords will rank higher in SERPs than a title without. At the same time, a good and meaningful title will assure searchers that they have found what they're looking for when they see the site in the search results.

Google will look for 110 characters only all the fellow characters will be omitted or overlooked by Google. So will not give any result to you.

I do not overstuff. Remember to bring a people who long to see your page, click on it SERPS. If it's just the keywords, people might ignore it.

You should follow the limitation of the title tags if you are looking for a great traffic. Anything that is overstuffed will be considered spam.

Remove clients name from Title tag because it covers space in title.

I would not overstuff and just keep in mind to create it compelling for individuals who notice your page in SERPs to click to it. If it is simply keywords, people may disregard it
