I think depending on the type of site you have Google Adsense can be a great thing. If you have very targeted content that is a very valuable to advertisers you can make a great deal more than you can with normal ad networks. However, I have always thought it cheapens some sites and make it look as though they cannot get into the big networks. You have to decide what you want - a more flattering site or more revenue
