And where/how does one find out what their site's TrustRank is?
And is TrustRank even a working methodology or simply a proposal? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TrustRank
PR is useful when it comes to our customers 'trust'. If a user visits the site, and sees the PR-1 of browsers are not necessarily interested in your web browser. It may also be useful when it comes to backlinks to your site. Reverse high PR site is worth it.
I can see where high PR makes it easier to get more links, but do you really think many site visitors even know what a site's PR is, and do they really care or pay attention to it?
I suspect that outside the fraternity of webmasters and SEO "experts", nobody really knows or cares about PR.
I agree entirely. The importance of PR is a myth gave by web masters attempting to sell back links. Site subject is king and will be for a long time to come.
For me PR actually doesn't matter as far as I have a beneficial amount of traffic to my site....finally we just need traffic right? so am least bothered about that.
For me PR is just a number. Some webmasters are very fascinated about this to gain backlinks from different size. The web page is content rich, having all the elements of SEO satisfied is what matters not the PR. This is entirely my opinion.
Cheers!

It is Google's view of the grandness of a page. hardly Google's. I have sites listed in the top 5 with a PR2 or PR3 as well as not as of PR but because of keyword relevance in the body text.
i don't aggree enterly,NOW google‘s pr is not important

Great post with no ending discussion.
As per me I considered PR as same as Rank given to us in our examination during our school days coz I am always at last rank and this affects me lot in many ways. So for me Rank 1 is very much importance and in practically also in anything with rank 1 given first prefernce and importance.
But here in google algorithum it is reverse i.e. PR 10 is rank 1 while PR 0 and PR 1 is last and it means that site with PR 10 is very much infomative and useful that is why PR 10 is alloted to that site.
So for me PR is not that thing which I neglect and take it as granted.
As for me PR in actuality does not materialize given that I have a good quality amount of trade off to my website. Ultimately, we simply desire to interchange am I correct?
It is Google's view of the grandness of a page. Just Google's. I have websites listed in the top 5 with a PR2 or PR3 and not since of PR but because of key word relevance in the body text. There are many issues that influence position and depending on which Google data center is sending results, a site can rank in various perspectives for the same search.
