Anyone have any good ideas?
Your site needs a few months to get out in the market place. It really depends on what your niche market is and who your competition is. Being in the sort of everything for sale category you have a tough fight unless you can market something unique that sets you above the thousands of other sites doing exactly what you are doing.
You need some good old fashioned text on your home page peppered with some relevant (the key word is 'relevant') key words and phrases. I would immediately get rid of the Google Ads unless you want your visitors leaving your site.
Tweak your <title> tag. It's arguably the most important tag you have as it appears in every browser. Online retailer does not say anything about your store. Give it some 'oomph' . Perhaps Supply Caves - Computer Equipment,Electronics and so on. You might want to highlight one of your more popular and searched for items in your <title> tag. You can use your manufacturers to give yourself more exposure. Words like Samsung and Sony.
You have a few categories with no products. Don't show them until you have products for them. It's a giant put off.
First, to optimize product keywords site inside the long tail, and then do some backward link to your products to address the chain
I have done many marketing activities but still i m not getting traffic or backlinks. Is there anyone who can guide me or help me?
I suggest to make your business web site trustable. You can make it by writing articles then post them to your business Web site and submit them to article banks.
Good starting point is:
article marketing
forum posting (in your websites niche)
blog commenting
Or pay for traffic...
The answer to the question is the holy grail of answers.
So let's call it marketing.
Man has been marketing products for over 2000 years now. You need a marketing campaign, that sends a strong message, and drives potential customers to an even stronger message, such as your website. Once the customer lands on your site, your message must be so convincing, that they make a purchase or choose to test your goods or services.
So you start at the website first, and work your way backwards towards, some sort of print, radio or television ads. You want to focus all of the potential leads to a centralized gathering place called your website. That's where you execute your strongest marketing message.
If you wait for organic search results to build and grow, that may take a year or so. So you have to pay for qualified leads first. But if your message is not strong, your leads will go down the drain.
I'm in the process of doing the same thing right now. So I am on this forum giving my thoughts on the posts. In return, I create a back link to my site, and raise a level of awareness in which readers might think that I actually have something intelligent to say, which may generate a click to my site, as readers express a small growing seed of interest and curiosity as to what I do and who I am.
If your convictions about your site or product are so strong, then don't be afraid to talk about it, and spread the word of it through out the land, to let everybody know. If your convictions are weak, them make them strong today by beefing up the message. Just go for it.
For getting traffic you can use bolg and article posting regularly, that will really help to take more traffic at your site.
Other wise you can take the help of SEO guys who have very good experienced in this .they will definitely help you to bring more traffic to your website.
U can increase traffic by building your link building profile. For this u need to:
1. do directory submission
2. analyze your competitors' backlinks and try to get them
3. write articles and syndicate them
4. do forums commenting
5. submit in social bookmarks
Try to study more on the SEO techniques or if you have budget try to seek for the help of an SEO experts.
I mean no disrespect but I feel you need to narrow your niche a bit. Everything i ever read always said to NOT have what they call a "Mall" site, narrow your product line a bit and find that one niche that fits you and your mission the most.
Facebook ads offers easy to use, low-cost advertising. If you haven't already, create a business Facebook page seperate from any personal Facebook page you may have. This will allow potential customers to follow you on Facebook and the first to see current events, discounts and sales. Good luck
Try to find which are the most popular media sites, directories and blogs in your market niche and advertise with them. Google Adwords or similar PPC programs would also help. Do not forget to track the visitors and conversions.
wow lol
If you want 1 answer: Go to google adwords (or facebook ads or msn adcenter) and pay for traffic.
There are hundreds of other ways but the above is the quickest
Look into feeding your products directly to Google Shopping, Bing Shopping, and TheFind.com. All of which are free and will bring in traffic, volume unknown however. There are some decent pay per click product search engines you can also submit to, they are pricey, but may come out even with adwords. Those sites are ShopZilla, nexttag, buy.com, etc.
Here is Google's info page for feeds : http://www.google.com/intl/en_us/pro...owitworks.html
There are other social shopping site worthy of looking into such as ThisNext and Kaboodle. These sites are like social bookmarks but for products.

I'd go with social media. Get a fan page on Facebook and ask some friends to like it and get Twitter account. On Twitter find followers interested in your branch and start talking. That should drive traffic! However, remember that you should share some useful stuff through social networks, not only advertise the eshop itself.
Just starting out, you should work on SEO by first optimizing your site and each page for certain keywords (presumably the product you're trying to sell). Good content is what drives traffic and drives Google to rank your site highly.
I have found great success by creating industry specific posts on Ezine Articles. Simply write an article a month and have that article link to your personal website and you will find that over time, traffic will begin to spill over onto your website.
This is a common practice for SEO firms.
Dynamo321,
How much of that traffic from your articles comes from the actual ezinearticles listings/directory and how much from other websites that have published your articles on their own pages?
Actually in true seo form, the success I have found resulted mainly from the power of the "backlink" that was created by Ezine.
Because Ezine articles is such a powerful site in the realm of seo, each article page I write only generates a select few hits from it; however the links generated as a result of the article has raised the page rank or perceived value of my website and that is what was most important to me. As a result of my article postings, I am receiving more "legitimate" random traffic to my site. Because the site is well optimized, my article efforts all go together to make a good statement to google. I can talk a lot about this topic if you would like.
My first aim from the start was not really to gain direct traffic as a result of the articles, but rather raise awareness while deepening Google's perception of the importance and value of my site.
An example of a basic article of mine would be:

I hope this helps.
Yes, it helps. Even more helpfull is your admission that you get little traffic from the article links and that most of what you do get comes from the directory, and not from sites that have used the article in their own content.
I'd recommend a site like ozbargain or you could try the daily deal sites...
I am truly glad my words helped. Let me know if there is anything else you wish to know :)
There are several excellent books on guerrilla marketing your site and I would recommend that being a good place to start. There are hundreds of ways to market your site - you cannot just submit it to search engines these days and expect to be successful.
Greenie is right but Social Media Marketing alone wouldnt help u to drive traffic. SMM is mainly done to gain brand visibility. But SEO is done with a proper intention to drive traffic. That is the reason I asked you to have a look at the website of Nichepro Technologies and their SEO/SMM wing NICHESUITE.
Check nichesuite.com

Promote your site by registering it with as many search engines as you can. Considering that some search engines let you register for free, the time and effort invested can pay off very quickly.
Submitting to search engines only won't help you in anyway. Google automatically detects new website and will crawl. Look into Google Product Feeds. You can register each product of yours to be searchable on Google Shopping. Moreover, you need to start a blog and write articles that are rich in keywords you are targeting for your retail store. Also build backlinks and even get into YouTube video blogging about your products. SEO trends of 2011 puts heavy emphasis of how your content / product is being shared in YouTube and other social media.
You will be disappointed to know that it is not so easy for a website to be recognized well by Google. Simply submitting it to search engines, directories and link exchanges is not enough. You need to work hard, indeed very hard to achieve success.
The basic idea is simple, plain and known to everyone. But most of them do not follow. They are looking for get rich quick schemes, which unfortunately do not exist and in turn will make you pauper.
So the blueprint is as follows:
1. Select a Niche which people are willing to pay.
2. Keyword Research
3. Select a domain which has keyword in it.
4. Create Keyword rich content
5. Do some on page SEO.
6. Submit to search engines and directories.
7. Create backlinks from authority sites.
8. Create more keyword specific content.
9. Write and submit articles.
10. Solve peoples problems in forums (do not spam).
11. Create more content.
12. Become an authority.
This is a definite process to rank high in Google. But it is difficult and will take time.
Be patient and success will be yours.
I think differently. Assuming you are confident enough about your product, you should consider advertising on Google Adwords first. The reason I say this is simple: if you use a good tracking program (google analytics if free), you'll be able to see very quickly what people are looking for. Study the keywords that people are entering to get to your site and then create more content on your website with those keywords. Link building is a long an arduous process, but in the meantime, you might want to make some money.
Its nice step that you can be traced down by these search engines, and to bring the traffic on your site you have to make the content helpful.
Make a bunch of fun videos and put them up on Youtube with your url. Make sure you share those videos on facebook and twitter. Social networking is the way to go for SEO since 2010 or so.
