help: how to collect money?

I'm completely new here,and I want to sell products such as necklaces on Internet. how can I collect money? do I need a special accounts? do I need a certain shoping cart?Some of my friends are good at PHP. They can write programs like shopping cart and database very well. May I use their programe and connect to the bank and gateway?

I would not try to re-invent the wheel. There are a lot of good shopping carts out there that are already tested and known to work well. Most will link up with multiple processors and should make your life a lot easier. Focus the effort that you would use on building a cart from scatch on marketing and SEO.

What if I want to design the website myself?
Would the shopping cart be easy to integrate with my design?
How does it work and transfer the information to the bank?

Most shopping cart software allows for much custimization. Some utilize static .html pages others are based on ASP.NET and still others are based on PHP. Find the one that suits your needs the best. The design aspects of our our cart are mainly controlled using CSS with the ability to add static pages if need be. There are also small carts that can be integrated into existing sites.

The connection to the bank is usually achieved through a module that has the important information already inputed. You will need a few things for this to happen. If you plan on selling more than about 1000 a month, you might want to go with a full blown merchant account, less than that and you should be ok with something like a 3rd party payment proccesor or paypal. There is a lot to learn, so read up on this information. There are also all types of considerations to take into account, like the type of site you will be ruinning (dating and adult sites are usually seen as high risk and are usually charged a higher rate by the processors). If you are not running that type of site, you should be able to shop around for the best rates, just read the fine print. HTH.

You need to have a working instance of IIS installed on your development system. You might want to browse the system requirements when installing applications.

I have a question for s2welee though. Do you know if there are plans for BV to support MySQL anytime in the future or custom mods that will enable support for MySQL?

I wonder if i can integrate the certain module that sending information to the gateway with my own program based on php?

I'm finding a way dealing with gateway and merchant account. I'm doing small business and want to control the expand. Is there anywhere about this information?

And for BVC, It doesn't work. I've set up IIS in my computer, but it says application fault. Please advise me for that.

If you do have some good shopping cart programs, please advise me.
