Keyword use

I have done much research on keywords and have found many with high enough demand and low enough competition to have the potential to be successful.

The question is, how do I use them? I have categories with multiple products and as many as 30 useable keywords. Should I use one or two keywords in the content or could I get away with using 5 or 6 without being considered "spaming"? Should I use one keyword and rotate content to use all of the useable words. Can I use keyword rich content at the beginning of each sub-category in order to "use up" my good keywords?

As you can tell, I need some help, and it will be much appreciated.

The amount of keywords you can stuff into your content is relative to the word count of your content. Basically, you do not want your keywords and key phrases to exceed 5%.

Also, the most useful tip (as well as the least helpful) is to write as if the article were for print - not google. Write as if you're talking to the reader, not the engine.

Good advice.

If you have 30 different keywords, you probably want 15-30 different web pages. Although you said competitiion is not strong on them, you still will probably have difficultly ranking well for them all with just a couple of pages.

I would want all 30 key words to be part of your urls, page title, meta description/keywords.

the todays SEO work is not working with keywords but key phrases. people are searching using phrases not keywords, so as the first step of proper SEO work you should identify those using WordTracker for example and then try to optimise your text using most searched phrases.
You could have separate titles, meta tags and descriptions for each page. use most relevant kewords having highest KEI idex in anchor text in your site linking to that page.

I agree but not 100%. I agree in that the more specific the phrase, the more serious the searcher. But a lot of people still put in more general quiries and you need to work on owning that too.

For keywords you wanted to use but haven't found a place, why not writing some extra pages containing an interesting article or a report about a specific topic related to these keywords ?

In this case you can prevent yourself from writing contents that is overloaded with keywords, just looks ugly and is hard to read (always consider you are writing your website for humans, not the search engines).

I would recommend using your keywords 2-4 times per page, because any more would be considered spamming.

As for where to use your Keywords, your important keywords can be used in your "Title Tag" of about 90 characters.

Other important keywords can be used in your "Meta Description Tag" of about 250 characters. Try not to go overboard with keywords there either. ;)

Use them in your headlines and sub-headings placed in <H1> and <strong> tags. That can greatly improve your rankings if you have keyword rich content.

Of course use them in your "Alt tags" that pop up when you hover over your images.

Use them in your Anchor Text, which are your hyperlinks.

And it also helps out to use them in your page name. You know, (yourkeyword.html)

Here is the systematic process I take when optimizing for keywords:

- Group similar keywords (or similar services) together
- Target 2 keywords per page (reserved opinion)
- On-page factors like titles, meta info, headings, content, interlinks etc

create an excel sheet with all the keywords mentioned. Try your best not create different articles/content targeting same keywords. Its called "keyword cannibalization". Search engines would have difficulty in finding the "right" content for the "right" keywords/phrases.

Ranking for low competition keywords is pretty easy than tough ones.

You said that you have bunch of keywords so if you can use 3 keywords as a main keywords like h1, h2, h3 and other keywords use them so that it can be spreed all over the content, like "computers accessories" is the keyword you are not focusing right now so what you do is use "computers" word few times in the content and "accessories" word few times. This kind of content will also help you to fetch the serp for the keyword "computers accessories" if your content is good and unique.
