i dont put ads on an ecommerce site, you want people to buy from you. the last thing you want is for people to leave your site, they may find it elswhere and you just lost a sale.
yes it does clutter too, you can make money but not a whole lot and you would rather have people buy from your site and make that money then the few cents you will make from the ads.
Never give your visitors the opportunity to leave your site - let alone go straight to your competitors.
You can do this if your create a mini-site that contains articles about the brands you carry and information on your topic of interest (outdoor sports, I assume). Then AdSense will work for you. But do not put it on your e-Commerce site.
Excellent recommendation Basic Ecommerce. I had considered the mini-sites but I never thought about Google ads on them. Thanks
You're welcome. But dont let AdSense be the focus of your mini-site. The focus is to help increase organic listings because of the additional text involved (and usually increased updated content). Use this SEO venture to build credibility on your e-commerce site through LinkLove.Quote:

Thanks again. My focus on the mini-sites will be informational(articles) related to my main site with a subtle referral to my site and with no selling.
Good. Exactly the way it should be done ("subtle" is key).Quote:

Thanks for the input

LinkLove is just a giddy little term I use to demonstrate how links pass their reputation, credibility, and help your site in SEO. Nothing official about it.
Get links by being professional, having a professional looking website, and provide great content. Be better than your competition in some way - dont just follow in their footsteps. Other content sites may find you and your site impressive enough to send people your way. Unfortunately, this takes time.

I wouldn't put AdSense to my eCommerce site because I wan't to sell my items. But if the site is for advertisment (traffic) purposes only, AdSense is the way to monetarise this traffic. But somehow I see odd when my traffic comes from Google natural search and I'm sending them back using Google Adsense. Why should they then come to my site at first place?
Anyway, I started two sites where I hope the revenue to come from AdSense only. One is http://www.topindiemedia.com as independent artists community and showcase and another I'm setting up currently is alternative culture events calendar - http://veikoh.freehostia.com/Calenda...r/calendar.php
So many people have ignored the fact that discussion groups or online forums can actually help them augment adsense earnings from their adsense websites. Do you know how to ask questions that will help you to augment
adsense earnings from your adsense website or websites?
Google trends shows Searching for 'google adsense' is increasing day by day. Google adsense program, hence proved that this is the money making giant in the internet world. Majority of the search is from the country Vietnam. Indonesia and Philippines comes next to the top queried country Vietnam. India placed at 6th position in searching "google adsense".
Well I think this can go two ways, one is that sometimes people don't find the product they were looking for on your site, so they will go somewhere else. Why not have an affiliate ads on your site (relevant) so if they exit, you can make a commission? If you are not sure how affiliate marketing works, read this!, affiliate marketing is increasing as well!
if you have ecommerce site then pls don't use adsense. adsense is used for sales of google supported products. that will harm your sales. moreover, if you get more then 50 USD by visitor clicks on adsense without any sales then google will disable your account.
That does not seem right. I'd like to see the documentation on this.Quote:
