Web Hosting and SSL
I was considering netrillion until I realized they are not compatible with SSL.
So, which web hosting do you use and what are some good and bad experiences you've had? Also, where is the best places to get SSL? I'm going to try to avoid getting both from the same site, it just seems like it'd probably be cheaper if I got them from seperate sites.
Any software that is essential to you with your online business?
:D Thanks in advance guys!

For the hosting, I would recommend TechEvolution. Hostway is another company that I have used in the past and been extremely happy with.
For the SSL certs, Comodo is the company that we use. Which SSL might help you out there as well.

One bad experience I had some years ago was a host that would not let me upgrade my account. They wanted me to pay for the rest of the year left on my contract and then pay for a new upgraded service. I understand you cannot break a contract that was signed for a year but I never thought it would be a problem to upgrade it.
If you are using some sort of hosted solution such as a shopping cart I would suggest that you find a host that specifically specializes in that hosted solution.
If your main goal is to save money... you probably will find it cheaper to get a hosting deal that includes ssl. I do not think it is a bad idea to get hosting and ssl at the same place. Something you definitely want to keep separate from your hosting is your domain name. If you decide to move from a particular host in the future, it is much easier when you have your domain name somewhere else.
