Confused

Hello to all,

Something wierd happened to me earlier. I went on line to register a domain name (I must add its a really ODD name) and all of a sudden out of know where someone registered it today. I must admit i did do a coulple of searches on the name before actually purchasing it...and in a matter of minutes someone snatched the name from under me, a domain company in California. Is this normal?

Depends on what company you used to do a search for. There have been some domain registrars that will register domain name searches in hopes of making a few bucks.
