Ecommerce Suggestive Selling Techniques
I believe suggestive selling is highly crucial to maximize revenue in any ecommerce store. There are many ways to do this. Brick and mortars such as bestbuy and even the grocery store have those small "necessary" items that can easily accompany any purchase, such as candy, batteries, and relevant accessories next to the checkout stand.
Amazon is king as they suggest similar items to purchase through email and when you are using their site. Another way is blatantly asking your customer, for example, how about an upgraded warranty for an additional $30?
Heres an article I came across recently talking about the power of suggestive selling: http://www.interspire.com/content/bl...ine-Store.html
What do you think? What kinds of creative tactics do you use or plan to use to increase revenue?

What is suggestive selling? does it like consultative service selling?
-
It's up selling which basically means sending emails to your customer base with specials.

Nobody does Cross-selling/Suggestive-selling/Up-selling like GoDaddy.
How many times do I have to click 'Proceed to Checkout' before they stop trying to make me buy more names with additional emails that contain fully operational featues with blah blah blah blah...?
