Suggestion: Order Management Software?

New here. Still finding my away around...

Not sure if I am in the right section of this forum but... I need some advice on "order management software" or "order entry software". Something similar to what their selling over at "awareim.com".

To make a long story short, I am in the process of starting up my own window replacement company and plan to do a majority of my advertising through radio ads, newspapers, internet, etc. When a customer calls me, I need for my Customer Service rep to input customer details such as the customer's name, address, phone number, dates requested for an in-home consultation, and so on, into some soft of overall company database.

Of course, obviously, I want this software hosted online, so any one of my associates can access it anytime of the day and see new customers that have called, sales requests, complaints, issues, etc. That way everybody is on the same page.

Now, I have found a few "online management software" solutions online, most of which charge a fee per user which is outragous and it'll cost me a little over two grand a year for 3 users! I can't afford that. Not now.

My question is, does anybody know of any "online management software" or "order entry software" that is sold at a flat rate (not per user license), that I can upload to my own server (host it myself) and adjust forms as I see fit (variables like name, dates, etc), add categories, add statues, and manage user profiles as needed?

I have looked everywhere...

I think --- there has to be something out there. Thing is, I also own several ecommerce businesses and for the longest time it seemed like every single shopping cart solution wanted to charge me to host their software themselves, which got very pricey... but that was until I found out about ZenCart, CS-Cart, etc. So, I have to believe that there is "order management software" out there that I can buy, at a one time price, and then upload it my server, so I can access it online without paying an arm and a leg.

Anything webbased will cost you no matter where you go or what you buy. If you buy a out of box solution you will need to buy something else to make it work. If you go with a hosted cart solutionthey will charge you and arm and a leg.

There may be a way for you to accomplish this in a round about way. Have you looked into a proram call Filemaker. its a 100% custom database program that you build to your specs. they have a server version as well whcih can be hosted and connected to through the internet off a computer that is running the client version. but again it will cost you for the program and liscence as well as someone to build the program the way you want it to work. like i said one way or another its going to cost. i know it stinks but thats the way it is. Any company offering you this ability will end up tellyoung yeah sure you can do it but it wil cost you custom programing etc.. or try to "sell you something" get my drift?
