    Shopping Cart for Multiple Web-stores

I'm looking for a Shopping Cart software that would allow to build multiple web-stores based on one catalog. In other words we want to have Multiple sites with multiple domains and ONE ADMINISTRATIVE PANEL controlling all the sites including the product catalog and order management.
    Does anybody knows good solution?

NetSuite allows this function. However, they're rather expensive because they are a complete Content Management System - not just a cart.

I know that Modular Merchant offers this feature and there was a forum article on how to do it. It's been awhile since I've helped clients set this up and I know there has been at least one major upgrade in the software since then, so you might want to start a trial account first.

How to set up multiple web stores with one Admin panel

    I'm a bit biased but...

We have "multi-store" support in interprise suite.

    http://www.interprisesuite.com/t-ECommerce.aspx

and there are some videos at...

    http://www.interprisesuite.com/aspdo...e_tutorial.htm

The multi-store allows you to pick and choose which products are sold on which site and allows you to have different prices "per site" as well.

Here is an example of a company that is using the multi-store to have websites in different domains -

    https://eu.razerzone.com, https://eu.razerzone.com, http://cn.razerzone.com/

    Sincerely,

Gary not for nothing but i see your posts all over this forum and to tell you the truth your program is by FAR NOT ready for primetime. I have been following your program since 2006 and waiting for it to become of something thats useable. 1- its slow 2- your docs are very poorly written 3- when i asked one of your sales reps a question all i got was a "umm uhhh umm uhh" i could of sworn i was talking to beavis.

Then i ask for a list of your developers and i get only one company and when i ask for more his answer was "this is who we recommend you use". Not for nothing but i should be able to choose who i want regardless. obviously you have more than one developer so why dont you give a list out when asked. what are you trying to hide? furthermore i was told that your "recommended developer" will contact me the next day and now its been 4 days and have not heard anything back.

You seriously need someone to teach you guys what customer service is teach your "sales Reps" more about the program and what it can do, and maybe choose your developers a bit more carefully. To me, at least, your operation seems too shady and you keep everything i asked for hidden as if its a secret, dont ask us what we want to do, TELL us what YOUR software does and then we will tell you what we need customized or not. The scheming part of it sounds like you get information out of a customer after they tell you what they want then you say oh well that's going to cost you more. uhhum excuse me but that's not how it works my friend, you show and tell us what your program does first then we will tell you what we want. im sure every sing business owner will agree with what i just said.

    Hi Rogersco,

A rule in software is that the more flexible you make an application the slower it gets. Code that is “hard coded” in a “fixed” application is dynamically driven in a “flexible” application. Interprise Suite is made up of over 2,500 “plugins” and as each form is loaded the system loads the screen plugin by plugin putting more demand on the hardware resources. The upside is - this allows a great level of customizability by giving users the ability to change existing plugins or add functionality by installing new plugins. To drive the loading of plugins we use SQLExpress on the client machine. If you are using a laptop computer with a slower hard drive (4200 or 5400 rpm), have a small amount of RAM (2gig is the going acceptable amount in Vista) or trying to run both the Client and Server off one machine (it’s doing “double duty”) then the program will run slow.

In our offices around the world most of forms load in less than a second even when running web services. We will have a case study released shortly from one company that replaced SAP Business one with Interprise Suite and is experiencing a 30% increase in transaction processing time – they process 800,000 line items a month.

Quite frankly our sales are up dramatically over the past few months so most of our developer partners are booked out a few months. To complicate matters, after we were acquired by the Taylor Corporation (14,000 employees) we hired a couple of our best third party developers to work for us to develop future features/products. Furthermore some of our developer partners only want to work with companies of a certain size (i.e. 20 or more users) so you may not have met their criteria.

I don’t think that our sales agent was trying to “hide” anything from you but many of our developer partners are new so they were probably recommending someone they were experienced with. We operate fairly transparently so there are a few places you can go to find developer partners - http://www.connectedbusiness.com/FOR...5/Default.aspx is the forum where our developer partners go when they are stuck so that is where I would start.

As far as trying to tell you what features are in Interprise Suite, this is not practical as the application is HUGE and features can be configured different ways. Also how we have a feature implemented might not be ideal for the EXACT needs of your business so it is better for us to say “umm I don’t know” than to mislead you. Also we do not "ala cart" our features (you get everything) so we are not trying to hide things to zap you later.

If you are not working with a reseller partner we suggest that you do so they can get to know your business and better suggest which features would do what you need. If you are in the U.S., we also suggest that you attend one of our 3 day regional events. The next one is in Chicago August 11-13th - http://www.interprisesuite.com/IL_Conference_Home.html. Even going through the program 8 hours a day for 3 days we are only be able to hit the basics of the application.

Regional events are a cost effective way to learn the breadth of the application and meet current users and listen to their experiences before buying the application. Our annual conference in Las Vegas will be in a few months and several of our partners will also be holding training classes so that is a good option if you also need eCommerce, Point of Sale, EDI, etc.

You know heres the funny part about all software companies.

When they hear something bad about themselves posted on these forums they all come running defending themselves as if they are innocent. But rather when they are on the phone with you and you present to them the exact reason and problem that we post in these forums, there answer is "yeah sure we can do that" and they give you their undivided attention. BUT! when it comes down to it end all be all the finer details is what they do not tell you, or try to avoid, because they know how blanked up they are and are willing to take your money for it.

Gary im nto saying your bad a company, the opposite your sales rep was nice i admit, but the lack of knowledge for every question i asked him was ridiculous he did not in anyway shape or form give me a single answer to any question i asked and still to date i have yet to receive a phone call from the "ONE" Developer i was recommended to deal with. Had i not asked for other developers i would still be here a week and half later with no contact formt eh only developer your sales rep recomended.
Now you tell me what kind of flipping joke is that?

So far on my blank list
1- Interprise Suite - Marked off. not good. after one developer told me for him to do anything would cost me $40k, BWAHAHA you freaking kidding.. what a joke. Not Interprise Suites fault they have jokers as developers.

2- Mainstreet Commerce- HAH! even a bigger joke, wants you to pay $950 for a one month of service and he considers that as your trial and you can cancel at any time, but you dont get any refund for that $950. oh yeah and did i mention he's VERY shady when you ask him for a Demo that you can use. Oh he will gladly log you into his system remotely and let you see a couple of things here and there whcih stinks because of the lag time, but he will NOT give you acess to any Demo account for you to test out whatsoever. If you freaking expect me to pay you $950 just to look at your software you got another thing coming pal. Every singl company gives a demo especialy if they asking such a high price for it.

Roger, are you looking for a shopping cart with similar capabilities as the original poster? I understand you had a bad experience with Interprise Suite but do you have another recommendation for the original poster?

You can look try taking a look at.

    http://www.advancedemedia.com

they seem pretty fair in price and they are very helpfull with providing a full hands on demo, he'll stya on the phone with you as long as you need to for the demo. and you can ask a million questions and he has the answers to them too not like others when they say "uh well i have to ask my lead tech and get back to you".
