Can't get any sales.
Hello !
My website The Age of Watches has been running for 2 months and unfortunately the conversion rate is still 0. Most of the traffic comes through google directly to product page. For example.
About 1% of my visitors actually click Shop Now button but it is ridiculously low because this traffic through google is targeted. Please help me to figure out what makes them go away before clicking Shop Now button.

Your site is very visually appealing and a pleasure to visit. However, a site has to function; not just look great.
1. You have no shopping cart. Your are sending people to Amazon. This creates loads of confusion to the shopper. Your site has built a 'brand' to the visitor. A 'brand' the visitor likes and decides to buy from you because of the professional and appealing site. Then, you send them to Amazon and lose all credibility.
Get your own shopping cart and keep the shopper on your page. Read through the Shopping Carts section to get help and ideas here (http://forums.smallbusinesscomputing...play.php?f=24).
2. You have a number of Information Architecture issues. Your homepage is a blog - not good. Your homepage should be brief and to the point (like the cover of a watch catalog). It is also fairly cluttered. Figure out what is important to you and your customers and improve/remove the irrelevant content.
3. You have AdSense on your product page. Remove that immediately. You are, in effect, telling your customers to buy from someone else.
These are the primary points costing you conversions. Fix these and things will improve.

1. I wonder if it's possible to let customers log in with their Amazon username and password on my webpage. I know that Amazon offers solution to put products into the cart and then buy them from their site.
2. At the moment there is no visits to the homepage but ecommerce features should be passed to the homepage yes.
3. I am not sure what happened but first when I put Adsense, It showed only when product was not available. Will fix it soon.

The best thing you can do here is to get your own cart. If I am looking to spend $500+ on a high-end watch, I am looking for a credible high-end dealer. When you send a high-end customer to a low-end portal (amazon), all confidence and professionalism goes out the window.
Your site and your demographic demand this sort of User Interface. There are lots of low-cost high-quality carts available. This is not my expertise so please visit the Shopping Cart section of the forum.

I have plans to start taking orders by myself but before that I want to make sure that my product page is good to go. At the moment the is problem that no one is clicking Shop Now button. Maybe I should change "Shop Now" to something else ? Shop Now is not that common. Usually its "Buy Now" or "Add to Cart".

As I stated in your other thread (sorry, should have posted the comments here) I tried clicking the "shop now" button and it took me to an Amazon page that I had to search to find the watch I was interested in. If I were a real customer (and who knows? I'm a watch fanatic ) I would leave immediately. I've already found the watch I am interested in, why do I have to search for it again?

Absolutely. Technically, they are already Shopping. So, 'Shop Now' is a strange button. You would be correct in changing it to 'Add to Cart' or 'Buy Now'.

Yes, it's 'bit' uncomfortable to click on the watch again when you are directed to Amazon website. I'm trying to figure out the Cart system that Amazon API is offering.

Hello again all!
I have had great time since I posted my threads to this forum. I got lots of suggestions and have changed some of them already on my site and working on others.
Why I'm writing this post is that I don't know if it was a coincidence but I got my first sale yesterday. It really felt good and thank you everyone who helped me and gave tips. I know I will have a great success

Give visitors reason to buy!!!
For me it's a nice blog about nice watches for rich people, I do not afford even to buy $5K-$10K watch. Are you sure that those people who afford actually visiting your site with the intention to buy from you?
I would assume that those persons do their shopping in expensive 5th avenue shops.
Noticed several design issues, like javascript errors, some graphics do not appear, etc.

We don't sell items/watches from our luxury blog. Watches that are for sale can be found by navigating through left menu. Click one of the Brands.

Your site has some great graphics but I never could get as far as seeing any price or anything I thought would get me to buying a watch. I am new to this too but make it easy for them to buy from you.
Second (and really related to the first) get rid of all the blog stuff. I would say get prices and a "buy it now" next to all the watches.

I second needing your own cart software... If i ever buy something on the web and am transported to another page through the payment or buying process I close transaction. Its not just about feeling safe(but sometimes that is a big part of it), but imo the user should feel like they have stayed in the same store the whole time. Transporting them to Amazon is like walking into the milkbar, ordering some milk and guy saying come down to the supermarket with me and ill buy it for you and tack on 2 dollars....
Anyways congrats on the sale, your website looks neat.. hope you can convert some more traffic into sales.

Hi Datson,
I have been looking on this forums for a good couple of weeks and decided to join now. I find your site really good but how posylane said: "get rid of all the blog stuff and get prices and a "buy it now" next to all the watches".
And as a customer I would not rely on a site where I cannot find an address or a phone number to get back in case of any problem.
