Site re-design - Opinions?
Hey everyone!
We just launched a new site (switched from OsCommerce to CS-Cart) because of increased functionality and what we thought would be a more user-friendly experience. We're looking for honest feedback to try to fine-tune things and to be able to improve our shopper experience. Any feedback or comments you have are great. Thanks in advance!

I am a CS Cart user as well as a moderator on the support site so I should except myself but I won't.
I was never a fan of the scrolling best seller side box. I think it takes too much focus and I don't think anyone is going to sit there and wait for a product they might be interested in to flash by. We have only a few seconds to attract a potential buyer's interest.
I think you are losing impact with your logo. It's too small and using a transparent GIF sacrifices too much quality so a jpeg with a white background would look better. You might want to lose the aquarelle green skin branding to make your site appear more custom and in fact you can lose the tabs and the top_tools_bg.gif as well. They are just duplicating links you already have.
Your categories work well and navigation is easy so that is a big plus and I expect the rest of the site works well as I would expect from CS Cart.
A phone number in the header and an ssl seal at the lower right will wrap it up.
The best of luck for the site and sales.

Thanks for your advice. I am in the process of making a better-looking skin, but I "un-branded" the green template for the time being and modified the layout a bit to give ourselves a more custom look. I can't, however, convince my boss to lose the tabs.
Even so, I think it's starting to look better, no?

I think it looks pretty darn good at this point. Nice coding, also.
