I am trying to create a list of all our product codes by combining base numbers with prefixes and suffixes. In addition I need to display the price and description next to each product code. We'll be using this to update other systems, first through .csv files and eventually in real-time.

I'm sure this is done all the time, but I have no idea where to start. I've never done anything like this so I'm thinking that MS Access would be easy enough to learn but powerful enough to be tied into the other systems.

Does anyone have any tips on how to start and whether an SQL database is appropriate?
