Internet cafe start up question
I am trying to start my own internet cafe store. I have software and the computers. I need to know if anyone can tell me or suggest what type server and what type router will I need to purchase in order to make internet connections?
Also, I would like to install 4 more computers at 2 different locations from the store. I need to know the best way to connect these computers back into the server or internet connection tied to the main store. Also would all I need as far as connection equipment is a dsl line?

For your store I don't think you'll need a server. A good router (Netgear is my preference) and an 8 port switch should give you enough ports for up to 12 workstations.
For the other locations you will need a server and a dedicated IP address from your ISP with port 80 (or whatever port you'd specify for the server) open from the ISP end. Windows Server 2003 should be more than you'd need although you could configure your server with XP as well.
I would look in to cable rather than DSL if it's available to you. Cable is easier to configure IMO.
