    Need Website Input

Hello fellow business people. I am in need of you small business owners (and anyone else at all) to look over my site and tell me where I am going wrong as far as content.

I am receiving feedback that the site is too corporate looking and does nothing to keep the potential customers interest. Well, since the small business crowd is the target audience, I thought I would ask here for input on what would make the site more interesting and consumer oriented.

I'll give you some information first. I am a business formation service specializing in incorporating small businesses, forming LLCs, trusts, etc. So in essence, I need to interest people just like you guys. Go to www.nev-corp.com...

So, What would you want to see if you were browsign my site? Any input at all is welcome. But, please do not try to sell me any silly web marketing tools. I have seen enough of these. I just want your basic opinions...What would keep your iterest?

    Thanks a bunch!

    Homepage:
You have too much text there. The visitor needs to scroll to find the info at the bottom. Keep this page simple. Just show enough info to attract the visitor.

"Form your NEVADA CORPORATION BY June 16, 2004 AND SAVE $295."
The date has past, keep your site up to date, it shows you are serious about your business.

    Inner pages:
Way too much text. Visitors will not spend that much time on your site. Simplify! Use bulleted items and allow the visitor the option of viewing more info with a link.

It's a good start, you have the content.

I would get a logo made. Also add clearer navigation on the left hand side.

    Good Luck.

    Hi Nicole,
If your target is the small business put that right smack in the middle of your index page. Your content needs to be sectioned off using color and graphics. I found that the text runs from one topic to another, there is no natural focus point between ideas. The site loads very slowly even with a DSL connection. When fomatting text, you have far more control with using points instead of pixels. Using pixels, depends on your visitor's browser settings. To test this point in IE, click on view-text size-and slect "largest" and see what happens to your navigation. If you use points the text size will not change between browsers who set their text size larger.

The content is written very well.

In my own personal opinion, If I am looking for legal business services, I will look at the most "corporate looking" site that I can find.

    Regards,
    Russell Smith
