    Need Opinions

Here are the 2 designs that we are currently deciding between. It can be either/or, or it can be a hybrid. Would like to get a sampling of opinions from people not working here to take into my next meeting.

Here is a link to a page that has the front page for both versions and the product page designs. Looking for more of a "first glance" reaction to them.

    Thanks

I prefer Home Page 2 and a hybrid of the product pages.

Home Page: version 1 has no immediately simple navigation that I could see from the picture. Whereas version 2 has a distinct navigation section on the left and makes it clear what sections are available.

Product Page: Version 2 has a right hand navigation which is very uncommon and also does not flow with the left hand nav on the Version 2 Home Page. Also, Version 2 is very dark and not as friendly/appealing for a street signs store.
However, Version 1 has the same navigational issues as the homepage. It is not clear. But, the shopping cart on the right is nice.

I would merge the two product pages so that there is left hand nav because it is consistent with the homepage and what folks are used to while adopting the colors and bright/friendly view of Version 1.

I like version #1. I find it more visually appealing and it states your purpose right out front.

That seems to be the general consensus here, too. Only they want the front page "brightened" up a bit like BEC suggested.

I don't know, I like it as it is. Version 2 of the main page to me looks very slick and very professional. Version 1 is not bad either, just not as good. I don't know how you're going to brighten up version 2 without affecting that look. It's really a very good look. Very solid and stark... striking.

It has a certain....je ne c'est qua. A certain pastiche, an enlightenment to the soul, an inner laughter if you will. It is light yet no too light; dark but not too dark; a style that beguiles the mind and sends visions of sugar plums a-dancing.

I pray thee do not change a <div> of it.

    roban,

That should go down in history as one of the best ways to say absolutely nothing.
