    I have a number of Information Architecture critiques:

    Delete your "Google Base Cross Promotion" banner. It serves no purpose. You want people to use your bidding program.

    Delete your Google AdWords. You do not want people leaving your site - ever.

    Move your Login section to the top of the right hand nav. Combine it with the Register Today banner. This will allow you to move your Categories section to the top of the left hand nav.

    Delete the picture of the cute kid. Use this space for products/auction promotion. Use the extra empty space in your header to convey the important information.

    All very sound advice. You might also want to take a closer look at the coding. The W3C validator found 343 errors.
