What does SCAM mean?
Most forum do not allow ads posting but does not mean the content of ads are not true. Why does it have to be called SCAM?

Can you explain what you mean with this sentence, it's confusing to me...
I guess no discussion board likes people posting ads when they are off-topic :-)
Scam, in the sense I understand it, is a way of cheating people by promising huge income or cheap products while planning just to receive pre-payments for never sent goods.
I think the best example of scam is the so-called "Nigerian scam": You are promised to receive a huge amount of money that just needs to transferred to an other banking account. As compensation, you even receive a high commission, but have to pay a "security fee" upfront. But of course, you never see a transaction done to your account ;-)
And even if, in most countries such transactions, without a banking license, could be punished as money laundering. So what do we learn: Real criminal people do not rob a bank, they fund one ;-)

Well, I mean, if you have ads - some self promotion whatever website, products or service, which may be totally true. Why are they called SCAM or SPAM?

Who calls which website being a scam ? Can you give an example ?

SCAM, SPAM or FRAUD?
What is the difference between SCAM, SPAM and FRAUD? If an online shopping website claims that they sell authentic items but in fact they don't, what do we call it? SCAM, SPAM or FRAUD?

Technically that would be fraud.

SPAM is unsolicited links, e-mails, etc. SPAM is the Internet version of the junk mail you get in your snailmail.
A SCAM is your plain old fashioned rip off ... you give something of value and get nothing ... or something of very little value in return.

Or it is basically means to trick someone in order to get something desirable.
Why are you being scammed?
