Looking for a good Online Payment System

I am working on a web site which will be using CRE Loaded (OS Commerce) based and am looking for a good Payment service to go with. It seems CRE Loaded works with several such as Authorize.net, 2Checkout, iPayment, and PSIGate. It also works with Paypal but I currently am on eBay and using Paypal and am not impressed with the service of either.

I'm not sure if I can use others but here is what's important to me:
    1. Security
    2. Stability: I need to know it's there and working and have good customer
    service.
    3. Safety: I want to know what protections I have against fraud, chargebacks,
    etc.
    4. Rates: Honestly I want good rates but the above 3 things are most
    important to me.

I'm not sure how important this is but my rate of sales on eBay vary between 10-30 items per day and the average selling price is around $40. Once again I appreciate any of the opinions on the above items. I have read the CRE Loaded books which list the above payment modules but I'm not sure if that means that's all it can use or if there are other options available.

I have been using Authorize.net for my personal site and have been very happy so far. Rates are reasonable and their response time is good.

Also, if you are disalusioned with PayPal (the way I am) - stay away from Versign. They are owned by Paypal. Service sucks.

Nocheck is cheaper than PayPal and there is also WorldPay which is more expensive. Can you get merchant account for yourself from your bank?

Google Checkout isn't too bad... There's WorldPay an ikobo too.

I am using PayPal for a year now, it's safe and secured. I haven't tried using the other online payment system

I like PayPal too. Some people hate it. It all depends on your experiences. The good news is that there are options available.

    Hi Fionix,

I hope it is not considered spam! My intentions are to help out by providing information to people that might not necessarily be aware of it, that is all!
Why are you so eager to spam it?

    Because you asked them to!
I am very sorry but I innocently thought that the purpose of forums is to ask questions and try and get help, and that was all I was trying to do...
I am very very sorry that providing actual information is considered spam, my profound appologies!

I suggest to you using Paypal. Paypal is the safe online payment processor that i see now. Their is stable and security. I having using Paypal since a year ago. Less downtime and not make much problem for me. One more thing is Paypal allow to to transferring any money directly to your credit card. It make it your online transaction faster.

If you are small and just starting out , go with PayPal, they are well know, provide good service and offer everything you stated, as you grow you will probably want to go to Merchant Account.

I have personally use paypal before and I think it is much more easier to use as they will be handling all the technical issue for you. The only thing i don't like is just the speed of loading, it is quite slow.
