    How to increase more sales?

    Hello everyone,
I have an online business, but I just want to know how to increase more sales. I have had a lot of researched and I came across to this http://business2-0.blogspot.com/2009...-customer.html and I found it interesting. Is this useful? Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Keanna

    Hi Keanna,

If it's not traffic you're looking to increase, then here's some ideas for increasing sales:

    1. Simplify the buying process

An estimated 75% of purchases are abandoned in the shopping cart phase, and it's usually because people don't know exactly what to do. Make sure they do. Example: Best Buy (or any other major company). When you want to check out, there's only 1 line to wait in, with several cashiers at the end. That way, if you want to buy something, you know that you need to go to the line. Not WHICH line, but THE line. It's simple, and it's boosting their sales.

    2. During the Checkout Phase, Show a "progress" status

Expanding on the shopping cart phase, you should also label the checkout process in a linear form. For instance, "Step 1", "Step 2", etc. People need to be told what to do; if left to the customer it's very reason to assume they won't figure it out themselves unless you tell them. I've found this to be true more often than not, sad to say. Uncertainty effects sales, period.

    3. Be honest with costs up front.

Don't wait until the very end of the transaction to spring a shipping cost on them. As they shop, you could also have a module or widget on the side of the screen showing the customer their current order total. I've found it's best to address all possible concerns early to overcome them. Avoiding them doesn't make them go away, and if you get them out of the way early, they aren't a problem. Cost for most people is a problem, so if they go overboard during the shopping and suddenly see how much they're spending at checkout, it could lead to an abandonment.

Now, other the other hand, there's some strategies you could use to monetize your existing customer base to increase sales, without generating ANY new customers:

    1. incorporate a "customer reward" program to increase repeat traffic/sales
    2. employ a customer reactivation campaign (also incorporating a sale into it)
    3. Cross promote products/services to your customer base
    4. Joint venture with other companies for split sales

Those are obviously just a few ways to monetize existing customers, but each are tremendously viable and profitable for you if you choose to use them.

    Hope it helps!
    -Tom

I find the best resource for ecommerce ideas is http://getelastic.com/. I suscribe to a few ecommerce blogs but get elastic stands way out in front.

You should give a link in your posts. I don't know they limit signature links on this site for new users but it can help to have links to your site.

Write a blog which in incorporated into your site and update it regularly. If you can write interesting articles that people will link to, this will help a lot.

In your emails to your customers, include at the bottom: "Do you have a site or blog? Consider linking to our site." Getting links is the best way to not only increase direct traffic but if a variety of sites link to yours search engines will consider your site is of greater importance and rank you higher in search results.

Adsense can be a great way to increase sales. Before you runa campaign, do plenty of homework. It's designed so that people who put the work in and run an effective campaign are rewared and those that do it half a$$ed pay more.

If you are in the U.S, you can post your products on my site. It's free to offer products, your first 2 months of sales are 100% free and the maximum fee for an order is 3.5% which decreases as the value of an order increases.

Notice the link above. If you use anchor like this, google will be more likely to send people to your site who search for a similar term.

Getting links is one of the best ways to increase traffic to your site. Get Elastic is full of ideas for improving your sales on site.

    Hi Keanna,

It always helps if you can do a quick analysis everyday or every other day of your top customers and best selling products. This will help you offer deals to your customers like online specials only or free shipping for large orders.

In online sale you keep your product more marketing and improve your quality. Which person purchase that you follow them and asking them they satisfied or not you like it or not and request to give you another person which is interested to purchase your product. And also you marketing by ad posting.

Does submitting an ad to google free of charge? If not, would it be budget friendly?

Selling online is much more difficult than selling your product offline. Your customer does not feel the product and so the sales pitch must be utterly convincing.
