    Question Has anyone used web rings to increase traffic

    Hi
    We are trying to increase traffic to our site and I'm trying to understand web rings and how (if) they really work along with any pros and cons. Please, any insight is appreciated. Thanks!!!

    Web rings as well as link banner exchanges are surely nice for personal websites to build some kind of community. However I don't recommend it for any business or e-commerce related site.

    The reason simply is that you have no control over the webring's members. Consider that your closest competitor also may be a participant of this webring and shows his ad on your site while your most important (and until that time) loyal customer is currently online...
