Question I would appreciate some advice

My Road Runner Cable modem is connected to a NETGEAR wireless access point. Through this, my desktop is connected by an RJ cable, and the laptop via a wireless card. Now, I have bought a USB printer. I understand I need a USB Print server. Will both computers be able to share the Printer if I connect the Print Server to my WAP?
    Thanks for your assistance.

If you are able to connect your printer to your access point, you're printer will be assigned an IP address. With an IP address, any of the computers connected to your access point can share that printer.

The problem is most access points do not have a USB port and cannot function as a printer server. You'll have to buy an access point/printer server. They are typically more expensive and are in the $100+ price range.

Hi you could connect the printer to the main pc and share the connection but the main pc would have to be on for the laptop to use the printer.

You could see if you could get a usb to RJ connector converter box so you can plug it into your existing netgear router.

something like this might do the trick
    http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/usb_server.html
    or a simple connector convertor
    http://www.directusbstore.co.uk/cnb/...dCategoryID=30 usb to rj45

You could also change your main wireless router there are some on the market that have rj45 and usb and vpn and nat and firewall all build in so t might be more cost efficient to just get a different one and sell the old one.

    Hope this helps

Estimation: Does Dell rout MacBook Pro on bonus?

Earlier I get to that similarity, it should be aculeous out that in the steppe superior to before, the Dell’s “$1,432” honorarium is after $650 in diversified Dell discount/coupon finaglings. Granted, Internet shopping geeks (and I ation myself to be one, so that’s not an abuse) whim be clever to reveal a Dell coupon rather very likely, but your ordinary consumer? And requite then, this one’s a whopper—it’s not instances that you can buy a $2,100 computer for less than $1,500. So I’m thriving to look at consummate bonuss and then let you do the “coupon math” at the end.

(It should also be celebrated that the total in this article was based on Dell’s honorariums on a discrete day newest week. As anyone who has done dangerous count on-hunting on the Dell Web plot knows, values metamorphosis diurnal—balance out by the hour and minute.)

If you have router, it has USB port or LAN port where you can connect your printer so that you can share the printer on both computer.
