    Looking for good drop shippers

I have been researching a ton of drop ship companies however a majority of them have a bad rapport here: http://www.ripoffreport.com/

http://www.dropshipdesign.com/ - looks the best but is blasted on the the ripoff site

http://********estore.com/ - looks good but also gets blasted

http://www.ebiz-u.com/index.html - looks decent and doesn't have a bad rapport but you have to go through amazon!

http://www.smcorp.com/ - some bad reviews but not real bad. doesn't seem to offer a web site

What I'm looking for is a reliable drop shipper that can also create a web site. Anyone know any I can trust?

I am aware of the drop shipper direcotry on the net but dont want to pay $70 for a list of companies that may not even be that good.

I would love any help you can offer...

Problem is with the sort of sites that they create is that they all look the same and potentially put people off from trading with you (or at least the experienced surfers IMO).

Doesn't really take a massive amount of effort to sort out a site, the product side of things is the time consumer.

The trouble is, most people who work with trustworhy dropshipping companies would not actually tell you about them. Because reliable and trustworthy dropshippers are so rare, people using them do not want extra competition (since the more people using the same dropshipper, the less unique the product becomes and therefore the lower the price margins). This is especially true on eBay - people there would give their life and liver for a list of reliable dropshippers!

Isn't that the truth. I would test out a drop shipper on a small scale before proceeding on a large scale. Also, most drop shippers have export product lists that can easily import into storefronts (at least those I work with anyways). But this comes with a heavy price, as there's no unique content and the search engines won't give you the time of day. So expect to do your own advertising.

-Finding good dropshippers for products takes time in the Ecommerce business. That's why companies make these drop ship directories so it saves you the time researching, calling people, trying to figure out if certain businesses dropship, etc.

    - I know you don't want to spend the 70 dollars, and I assume you mean Worldwide Brands, but that 70 bucks is miniscule to the amount of information and suppliers they have on their dropship directory. Too many people want to start out online and not spend a dime, like any other business, you have to invest some money into it to get it to work.
So, Time = Money, why spend loads of time trying to find dropshippers when you can just get access to a great directory that has millions of products included on there already.

-A dropship site that provides you with a website to sell from ......, they are out there, but the majority of them will charge you money to sell their products and they will be the same for every customer that goes to that site. Boring, same electronics everyone else sells, and you're profit margin will stink. Don't go there....

    Hope this helps,

Cool Yes i know a place

"What I'm looking for is a reliable drop shipper that can also create a web site. Anyone know any I can trust?"

Many of the "turnkey" sites offered by some dropship programs are very limited and not of good platform quality. Also, if you use their site and later find a better program or want to add your own products or products from another supplier you cannot. Some will only let you change the template on their site, but you cannot even rename the cat structure for how your products are presented or offer some but not all of their products.

Your need to use a dropship data service provider that can sync your site with the dropship program data each day. These types of services often have a website option as well that is much better then a limited turnkey site or a site that you cannot take with you if you close down for a few months or want to add other products from other suppliers or your own. I know of one good source online that added 2 programs this month and has 5 more programs that are set to be added in the next month or two. The daily product loading and updates can be applied to a variety of platforms that you can host anywhere such as X-Cart, Zen Cart, VirtueMart, osCommerce, CRE Loaded, VPASP, Miva Merchant, Inventory Stores, Yahoo Stores, and more.

So if you keep looking you will company that will be able to link you to real dropship programs and update the data for you on your own website or give you a Hosted Website option to create your own store that you can use how you want. There are one or two programs like this that I am sure you can find.

Also...I like the services that let you use an Open Source platform like osCommerce or CRE Loaded. This way it really is YOUR store because you can change it as much as you want and if you ever felt like you did not like their hosting service or just wanted to host the site on your own you could easily pick up your store and move it to another hosting account....just something to think about.

    a few questions

    Hello Aquatix,
What are you using to evaluate your programs? You listed "looks good" on two of the links in your post. What exactly are you doing to evaluate the program. I noticed you are using ripoff report which is great, but what else do you do? Also, I noticed you lists SMC. I think your money would be better spent on the World Wide Brands directory and not SMC which can cost a $100-$300 for the membership and more money for new product CDs etc....

Is there any particular reason you want the supplier to "create the site" for you? How much creation do you need? The issue is that the big boys only want experienced resellers, so they tend not to offer or promote a hosted site service or a service where they build or design the site for you to sell their products. If a program did this....well...why wouldn’t they just sell the products direct at retail with their own site or sites? It can take time to make a site which is why some people find it easier to have a hosted site on their own or find a site which can be customized and loaded with the supplier's products. If you only use dropship programs that also offer a website....you might be limited and will more often then not, find 3rd party providers that are only pretending to be a dropship source and they really make the money on price markups, start up fees, membership fees, or hosting costs and add little if any value.

What types of product lines are you looking for? I might be able to recommend a few supplier programs that are worth a look.
