I like http://www.responseque.com - they cost a little bit but they have a auto answering function that is awesome. It saves you from going crazy with questions and the cool thing is that the customer dosen't know it's not live chat. Genius!

Try www.craftysyntax.com or www.helpcenterlive.com. Both are open source and good.

I’d like to suggest the Live Chat Software offered by Comm100. (See signature link.) It is free, and there is no need to install. Just sign up for it, then you can chat with your visitors. No login or registration is needed for your visitors to chat with you.

I would suggest you to check Banckle Live Chat application which is one of the best application for communicating live with your visitors. Plus it is free for one year.

Many companies offer free live chat software but for the serious business i don't prefer free service. Live2Support is preferably good.

Try www.123flashchat.com/live-help-chat, easy to use and well arranged. It offers good administration tools and marketing tools that are simple enough even for non-programmers to implement.

I use the meebo widgets for my live chat. They're easy to setup and it only takes a sec to have it up and running

I have been using Phponlinechat as my live chat software to have interactions with my clients. Now, I find that my business has gained a new exposure on having the live interaction. As I have experienced, I would ensure you that Phponlinechat would bring over a positive effect to your business...
