software for handing credit accounts

I am looking for software to handle keeping track of sales for multiple customers.

details:
I run a sports camp - campers can set-up a camp back for whatever amount they want ($25, $75, $200, etc)
throughout the camp, they can visit the camp store and purchase items (souvenirs, snacks, etc). The amount of items are deducted from their camp bank limit- until it reaches zero.

currently, we keep track of their purchases via pencil and paper.

We want to eliminate the need for pencil and paper and keep track through ipads/ computers. We have grown in size (500+ campers per session) and want to speed up the process.

Any ideas for software currently on the market that might be able to be adapted to meet this need?

You might find Square Register to be a great solution. I've also seen a few companies use Clover.

They are very similar, but have different costs. I'd check their feature lists to see what works best for you.
