restoring from a system image - Windows 7
I have a bit of a malfunction on my PC but every week I back up my Windows 7 operating system and data (by creating a system image) onto an external hard drive. My hard drive is partitioned into two partitions - C: and E: Question is this:
If I restore now using my latest system image will it restore just the operating system or will it do the OS & all data. How can I tell what will get backed up / overwritten (I have also kept a separate backup of my data anyway).

It will restore the entire C and or E drive... If you made the image this past Tuesday, anything new that you added after Tuesday will be lost.

Depends if you have made a back up of both the drives. Usually it will just restore your c:

If you have taken image of C drive then it will restore only C drive whatever inside the C drive.
