I was interested in dropshipping some products and wanted to know if anyone has used the Dropship Source Directory from Worldwide Brands. Please let me know if you thought it was useful and was worth the price ($69.95).

Also, please let me know if you have any other reliable suggestions for obtaining updated dropshipper informations.

I would think twice, no, three times, about spending a dime to find drop shippers. There are literally HUNDREDS of sites that sell these "directories." Find out the products you'd like to sell and then contact the manufacturers DIRECTLY. There should never be any middlemen.

As I've posted a number of times the past week, if you look at the www.ecommerce-guide.com home page, we have a feature on drop shipping and a couple of companies that can help you.

Again, I'd personally stay far away from anyone hawking these so-called directories.

Don't pay for this information, there's really no need, it's often the same. If you want UK based companies, check the free resource below.

I signed up with WWB. Actually, my wife did (much to my chagrin...)

I of course couldn't resist my curiosity and delved into their wholesale directory & dropship directory looking for potential products. It's not bad, but not great. There are some potential winners in there, depending on your niche. But there are also some retail stores charging just below MSRP to dropship something.

They do update the directory all the time. They are seemingly becoming one of the larger DS Directories and because of that they are attracting dropshippers and new products.

Their research tool is fun to play with too. I question it's accuracy, but it never hurts to have another tool in my arsenal of ecommerce weapons.

Fortunately, once you sign up, you have a lifetime membership.

Did I find it worthwhile. Not for me, no. I have a retail store and plenty of contacts already. For someone new to commerce (in general) it may be worthwhile. My wife seems to like it so you can argue that it's money well spent ;-)
