Do what you love. You're going to devote a lot of time and energy to starting a business and building it into a successful enterprise, so it's really important that you truly deeply enjoy what you do, whether it is running fishing charters, creating pottery or providing financial advice.
Start your business while you're still employed. How long can most people live without money? Not long. And it may be a long time before your new business actually makes any profits. Being employed while you're starting your business means money in your pocket while you're going through the business start up process.

This is excellent piece of suggestion. Thanks very much. I was about to make this mistake but thanks for your helpful idea I am not going to quit my job just to make some extra bucks by starting my online business. Probably it is a good idea to stay employed and flourish your business until you feel the need to quit your job. This post is an eye opener for me.
It's a wise thing to do what one loves because it is the love that would keep you going even if you are not much money from it. But these days people are more concern with what will bring in more (sometimes easy) money.

It may be possible to start off your business as a trial first, part-time only, while keeping your main job, in order to assess whether you want to go the whole hog.

It may be possible to do this - start the business in your spare time and succeed, but I have no experience with this.
I have always started my businesses with a total commitment of time and resources. My rent and childrens' well being depended on my success. I did everything in my power and used everything I know and could learn to make things work. There was no alternative to success.
It's scarier, but boy you will make it happen!

This should always be the case for small business start-ups.I appreciate this advice because for one I can't live without income coming in for the family expenses. This will also give the person less stress to make his business well.Kudos to you!

Well I can only say that if you are looking to invest somewhere then be very careful about the financing investment. Your finance should have a lower percentage loans in it and your payback terms should be easy.
