Has anyone on here tried using Paypal as a payment method? Currently I take credit cards directly and also accept Google Checkout but have been considering adding Paypal as an additional option but have several questions:

-Did you see an increase in sales by using Paypal?

-Have you experienced fraud issues? I have been also selling on eBay and take Paypal only on there? Unfortunately we've experienced fraud with false Significantly as Described with no questions asked, money returned to buyer, Returns where a box is returned with rocks and then the person claims they returned their item, shows USPS tracking, and gets their money back no questions asked. We have experienced several other fraud attempts through Paypal. What upsets us is it appears that Paypal does these investigations and never speaks with the seller much and just claims their investigation concluded the buyer was right. I just am hoping it may be different if I don't use Paypal along with eBay.

Thank you for your help.

You can use Paypal payment method for your ecommerce. It is as good as Google checkout.

I see where that could lead to nothing but a "He said She said" scenario.

PayPal is completely reliable and I have hardly heard of any fraud issues so far with PayPal. Most of the eBay sellers are already using PayPal to accept payments.

I agree on one of my sites all of my transactions are through paypal, and i've never had any problems using them.

I feel PayPal is the most reliable source of money transactions you could get. i have been using it for quite a long time and haven't had any difficulties so go ahead. Its as good as Google. Thanks

Paypal is one of the most accepted online payment method and I think you'll do yourself good by starting to accept it. However, I'd love to advice you not discontinue accepting others because Paypal doesn't allow some countries to use their service.

You can do PayPal Website Payment Standard or Pro...Pro is a merchant account where you can take credit cards right from your website. They will never go to a paypal website or know they have paid through paypal.

If you are looking for an alternative of paypal then you can go for Google’s GBuy

I have only ever used paypal checkout on www.vitaminD3world.com so dont know if it increases sales. It works but occasionaly I have an order go through to the e distributor that is not complete so I have to manually check all the orders and re enter them if the information coming from paypal is incomplete. No one has been able to solve this problem for me

Shipping to the Paypal verfified address ONLY is a good practice. Paypal protects you when you do this, just like any merchant account.

We added Paypal to our payment choices and have seen quite a bit of usage. Did it increase sales? Hard to really quantify that, but it's obvious that a section of customers preferred it and retail is all about providing the most customer friendly shopping experience.
