Hi there. I'd like to offer video clips (own videos) on my website that people can pay to download onto there mobile phone or ipod. (Just like to add that theyre not dodgy videos! Theyre tuitional videos :O)) can anyone point me in the right direction? Many thanks.:)

what kind of videos? Will there be a market for what you are offering?

Actually there isn't much yet video portals to get paid. For screensavers and ringtones the payout rates has been low, so you will earn only 30% of revenues. Basically there is VAT, then mobile operators fee which will give billing aggregators 50/50. Afterwards you need to have billing and distribution infrastructure in place, so Bango is leading globally with lowest cost (around $1000 per month for global). Mobile video is 3GP, so you need to license good technology for distribution.
I would love to implement this with my Indie Media and Artist (http://www.topindiemedia.com)site, but first I need enough artists to sign up that this business model will be viable and I need to get the revenue split at least 50/50 with the artist. So either I should license billing infrastructure directly from operators, or find other ways. Bango is offering up to 75% payour rate using Pay for It scheme in UK, so it's a good start.
