Hi all,

I'd be very grateful for your suggestions of an all-in-one integrated e-commerce solution with a strong set of features of the shopping cart. Preferably, I'm looking for a licensed, not on-demand (pay per month) solution. Please, advise. What experience do you have with them?

Thank you,

wolf4jc.:)

What server side language are you looking for? Most carts that you install on your server (Comersus, Candy Press, etc) will only have a one-time fee. Some offer upgrades as well.

And then there are others like Yahoo (with their Yahoo electronic payment gateway) that is stored on their servers.

There are benefits to each, but it would help to know a bit more.

I have checked probably close to 200 carts so far. At the beginning I was looking for a robust shopping cart, but then thought that instead of trying to connect a shopping cart to software like Microsoft RMS or Quickbooks POS and some accounting software, I started looking around if I could find a more integrated solution.

I don't have really a preference as far as served side language goes. I noticed that both .php and asp.net have strong solutions. And I'd prefer a non-hosted solution.

So far I really like Evolution by Darwin Productions (except the name!) and just yesterday I found the Interprise Suite (mentioned on this forum) that I'm checking right now. Evolution is great except it looks like their shopping cart functionality is not as robust as the rest of it (but I'm still checking it). I really like the functionality of aspdotnetstorefront, but then it's not totally integrated. the good news is that Interprise Suite uses the latter.

Any experience with the above? Has anyone used Zoovy or Devix? What is the price? is it one time fee?

thanks!

Hi Wolf... I've got about a year's worth of experience with Zoovy. I'd be happy to tell you about it if you'd like to contact me at fixdmix1 at embarqmail dot com... All I can say is get ready for a tremendous learning curve and many many surprises. I'm not quite ready to slam them in public so I'd rather discuss elsewhere. No it is NOT a one time fee (see above comment re: surprises).

I'd also be interested in hearing what more you've found since your post..

Regards,

MD

I decided to go with Interprise Solutions suite based on the aspdotnetstorefront shopping cart. Although they raised the price recently still it seem to be one of the most reasonable solutions on the market. It's all-in-one integrated solution that can be additionally expanded or tweaked. Definitely my winner.

Just a sidenote regarding "all-in-one" solutions. Please carefully review them, especially seen the point that you, for whatever reason, want to switch later to an other shop solution. So the ability to export data should be a matter of course (product database, customer records, invoices, any other bookkeeping or statistical data).

Stay far, far away from Comersus. The thing is cheap and easy to set up, but if you ever want to customize anything, the programming is horrible, outdated and a total mess to work with.

Hi,

I just moved my www.tracertek.com site from Monster Commerce (Hosted by Network solutions) to ClickCartPro from Kryptronic. It was 199 bucks and I loved that no one bugged my to buy stuff when I called with questions. It's been 6 months so far and I really love it. They're at www.kryptronic.com.

I agree with this.

I'm going to give you fair warning about Interprise. If you search for posts that I have posted on this site (over the past 3+ years) you'll see I have NEVER gone after any other company, and have always tried to be constructive when posting....yet I feel the need to raise the flag when it comes to Interprise Suite. Below is one post I just published yesterday (I suggest you do a search on my other Interprise and Netsuite posts so you can see the long road we have been down). I will be completely transparent with anyone who wants to know more in detail via PM

In my 3+ years of being on this forum I've never called out any company, but Interprise Suites---you guys are always "on the sell" and as someone who has purchased your software (more then a year ago) and someone who has been waiting for fixes (from Interprise employees) for 4 months, I'm personally sick and tired of all the shit you spew. The software is not ready for prime time, you love to broadcast headlines that you can spin positively, and then when users (like me) ask questions we're always told "it's coming"....then it doesn't come and the software falls well short of what is advertised. I'm so sick and tired of you guys that I'm now happy to broadcast to everyone how disgusted I am with you.

If you guys were straight you wouldn't have to deal with disgruntled customers like myself, but instead you practice business in a dodgy way and now you are going to get burned.

Zen-Cart fan here, it's hard to beat something with such a long stable history, hundreds of models, one of the largest user communities for support and it is Free!

On a side note: you mentioned "I've looked at 200 carts", that's a lot of time man, just pick one and run with it :)

what do you have "plugged in" to zen cart on the back end? (to make it a full ERP system?)

he's looking for an "all in one solution"....not just a shopping cart

Sorry, missed the ERP requirement, saw 'all-in-one' and figured there's a module for everything. There actually several professional ERP integrations for ZC (CK-ERP (http://groups.google.com/group/CK-ERP-en/browse_thread/thread/f1c6e50cd5470944/3d86e574f2682b39?lnk=raot&pli=1)) but I have not used them.

Wow, I am suprised no one mentioned prestashop.

It has everything and plenty of modules to add on to.
I use it with success and so do my clients.

I teach people to use it to make great online stores and they have been very happy with ease of it and also its SEO friendly.

Defiantly worth looking it to.

Good Luck!
