Need a good recommendation for payment gateway please ? Anyone

I am a newbie in the business. This is a first week that I posted some stuffs on eBay, and just about to launch the handmade clothing boutique . I know that I have LOTS to learn . Anyway, I have been doing the research on this subject without any success .
I'd like very much your recommendation for the great service .

do some reaserch, some are better for large purchases and small amount of purchases and some are better for small amount and large dollar.

example. i sell 1 $1000 item a day or 100 $10 items.

some gateways have small per month and large percentage for each transaction or some have small percentage for each transaction and larger montley fee

Do you need a recommendation for a payment gateway...or the merchant account service provider which will use the payment gateway?
