I have a legal question regarding products and domain names.

I have a main store selling different items. Then, about two years ago, I opened a showcase website for one of the products i carry. Lets call that "ProductA". It's sold to me by the manufacturer. The domain I have it under is "www.ProductA.com".

Now that the site has gotton popular, manufacturer is accusing me and to shut down the site. They are complaining that I am not the manufacturer to have that domain and also I have their competitors as our banner adds.

Manufacturer was fine with us when we first opened the site, but I dont' have anything in writing. Can he take legal action against us?

Thanks in advance.
Mike

Would you like to elaberate more in that?

We still sell his products. When a customer approach us from "www.ProductA.com" We buy the items from ProductA manufacturer to sell to the customer.

Do you have any written agreement with the manufacturer?

When we first talked about it, manufacturer agreed, saying we can do it long as we sell their product. But nothing is in writing.

now that we do better than HIS own site, he is acusing us. So I want to be sure.

Thanks
Mike

You are using someone's copyrighted name in a public place without consent. You could lose your home, income and first born.
