You've got a very well designed site with lots of good keywords. What you need to do now is get links back to it. Maybe divorce lawyers or family lawyers. Talk it up. Submit articles, write blogs - just get the site name out there so the spiders can find it. I'm sure there are a lot more detailed things you can do, but this is still a learning experience for me also. Good luck.

Google Page Rank is way over-valued by many webmasters. It is not unusual for a website with a Page Rank of 2 to outrank a website with a Page Rank of 5. The reason is that Page Rank is only an indicator of one of many factors, and Page Rank is not even a reliable indicator, at that. So don't be concerned about PR. What you want is targeted visitors who will use your service.

Writing and publishing articles, back links, content development and key words that people are actually searching for are basic Organic SEO methods that work. And let us not forget 'time'. It takes 6 months or longer for a site to show well assuming everything is in place. Your site was created in March of 2006 and last updated in January, 2007 so you should be seeing results.

Your Google popularity is 361 which is respectible, Altavista is 51, Alltheweb is 47.

So the question now is where are your visitors coming from, how do they navigate your site and how long do they stay. Google Analytics can give you a wealth of information on these and many other aspects of your site. It's free and I encourage you to use it.

To that end, you may want to sign up at www.Statcounter.com. They offer a free site analysis. Put their code into your site and you can see not only where people came from but exactly what pages they are looking at and how long they stay on them.

Hi Vinz!

Not only did I like the web design (especially the color), I also like the concept of your website. I'm sure you'll help a lot of parents and children.

As to the page rank, JEccles was right. Try to write as many blogs as you can and submit articles to decent websites. I can recommend, http://www.associatedcontent.com and even digg.com (to digg your stories of course) I'm sure you will see a lot of them out there. You only need to be a good/informative writer. Don't make it too obvious that you are promoting your website as well.

I'm also in the process of learning how to make our website reach top 20, I'm just trying to share my experience. I hope it helped.

MORE POWER!

Hello Vinz,

You also can use different PR sites, such as pr.com, preleap.com, free-*************.com. You can create and submit interesting stories about your business.

Actually, here's another indicator: the response time for your website from US and Austria.
Time Response Status Location
17:13 140 OK US
17:03 323 OK AT

Your metatags could definitely use improvement, although it seems as if metatags are not as important these days as they once were. When focusing on metatags, it's important to put your keywords in the metatag itself. For example, you have a page called "Details." To what details are you referring? Divorce Class details?

Here is some more info on improving your meta title and your meta description. This should also help:

Hope this helps!

hi,

u have a good site. I think you must be aware of the ways to get backlinks. These days googe is giving more priority to 3 way linking and one way linking. try to get lots of backlinks and put some good meta tags and alt tag. This will surely help for good ranking.

Hi, Vinz -

One thing that was touched on briefly was content. There is some good content on your site, as I looked at it briefly, but one thing you can do to boost your search engine rankings is to have a lot of keyword-rich content on your pages, making sure that the keywords that are most important to you are well represented in the content of your site.

Good luck!

Hi Tanu,

Just to put a different take on link-swapping, whilst I agree with you about one-way linking, we avoid 3-way linking at all costs. It is so much harder to maintain a good link neighbourhood with 3-way linking, at least with direct link swapping with similar themed web sites you have more visibility with who they are also linking to and from.

Vinz, I think your web site looks great. We've got a free pdf Getting Started guide for Internet retailing on our web site if you are interested, or PM me and I'll email you a copy.

Hi David,

Thats true to what you are saying. It takes hell lot of time to check each and every link and also to get the response from the other party.

Thanks

The design isn't bad but I would change the font colors. The orange, even on the plain background, could be difficult for some people to read. And when you add it to a graphic background it is easy to miss. Maybe put a little more information on the front page to draw people in.

BTW I should find out your rates. I'm getting married 10/20 and was thinking about using a limo instead of driving around. ;)

I am not exactly sure what your website is about. Unfortunately, the grammar is very poor and makes it difficult to understand.

Here's my question to @vinz:

After doing all of what has been suggested in this thread, let's say you finally do get traffic to your site - now what conversion rate are you hoping for? In other words, for every 100 visitors, how many will actually buy? That's the next part of the ecommerce puzzle.

Here's a quick little tip to build inbound links....

Open a google adwords account and spend $100 on ads... when google displays your ad on a website of a google publisher (website that caries google ads) and the googlebot crawls that site, it thinks it's an actual link back to your website.

I've done this before, it works.

That would mean that the Google Page Rank is in fact bias towards Adwords users.

I did this with a free website that I received from 2007freewebsites.com. I didn't do any other advertising and when I do a google search for my business name, I get hundreds of search results. By the way 3 more free website invitations, let me know if you would like one.
