Best day to send out e-newsletters.

Hi - I run a web site for a specialty retail shop. We send out an e-newsletter every other week. Does anyone know of any statistics that give an indication of what is the best day to send out these emails? They are usually to promote new products and sales in the store - the goal being to get people to shop in both our actual store and our web store. Thanks.

Hi. I think I might be able to help. I do all my email marketing through a company called mUrgent (http://www.murgent.com) and they put out a monthly e-newsletter. I think they actually talked about this in the last one I got. They said you'll do best sending it on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. You might want to sign up for this newsletter. I've gotten a lot out of it since I started receiving it. Best of luck!

I agree: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday are good days. People are busy on Monday and, on Friday, most un*****ious employees - the majority - are already preparing for the weekend.

Hi all,
I agree with the days but also have your newsletter set to be delivered in the late morning and not overnight especially if going to a business. I hate having to sort through a 100 emails in the morning weeding out the junk to find the good stuff. I think mailing somewhere beween 10 and 12 is a good idea. The emails I get overnight are usually put on hold until I can get to them throughout the day but emails I get while I'm sitting here are usually taken care of right away.
