Thanks for the links. Search Engine Optimization for Site Owners and Small Businesses (http://www.seo-blog.com/) has some good information on it as well.

I can't log in to http://www.geoseo.com. It requires login and password. Are there any instructions?

usasportstrain,

How up to date are your links? I noticed that some of them are not working at all. Some of the tools within the links that are working are returning erronious results.

This site is the best I've found so far for checking all aspects of your website from backlinks to the number of pages indexed in search engines etc. Its simple to use and does it all in one go! Definately worth a look

http://www.webmaster-toolkit.com provides a nice collection of SEO tools (unfortunately not all are working).

The following two ones are not really affiliated with SEO, but surely helpful to keep an eye upon your website:

http://www.host-tracker.com - nice and free service to check out how fast your site can be reached around the Earth.

Similar solution is http://www.watchmouse.com (they are mainly a powerful, paid service, but offer a free membership).

thanks for all these resources...the firefox add-ons are great! I also use quantcast from time to time to check the monthly uniques of a site, or to compare demographics with a client's website.
